Would be nice to get a wee win here and a bit of silverware under the belt early (Nb if we lose its just a glorified friendly). Team seems pretty set, with the way Klopp has started the 2 friendly. Only decision I think is whether Trent is back. -------------------Alisson-------------- TAA/Neco --Gomez-VVD----Robbo ------------------Fabinho--------------- ----------Naby----------Gini------------ --Salah--------Bobby-------Mane--
Would be nice to get a win, looking forward to the game, usually entertaining when we play the Gunners and traditional indication of football being back.
While I agree with that from my own perspective, it will be interesting to see what Klopp and the players make of it. As @Skintown Red said in the opener, it is pretty much a glorified friendly after all. With the international break to come, players minds could be elsewhere - hopefully with the gunners, and not with us.
Hope to see a bit of Brewster. Would be nice to be well ahead and bring some of the youngsters on. Having said all that I'd take one extra point for the season coming than winning today
I actually think he was covering well and Gini didn't get across. Arsenal 3/5 at the back for most of the time with 11 in their half and 3/5 in midfield when transitioning (or in old speak getting forward) is causing us problems.
Arsenal hugely improved defensively under Arteta. Need more through the middle. Naby might provide that
Some players not involved at all. Hardly heard Bobby’s or gini name mentioned in commentary. Brewster and keita on after an hour .
On second look just, it is one of those were you just have to applaud the striker, great snap shot and finish.
We lost on penalties but no disappointment as we didn't do enough to win it in real time. Another 3 at the back tactic with 11 behind the ball that we have struggled against. No panic as really preseason but how much did the game change with Keita coming on?
Did Jake Humphrey really just say that it was interesting Liverpool players went straight down the tunnel after the shield was lifted. Was he expecting a lap of the pitch.
