AP McCoy has been knighted in the queens New Years honours list
Watched Being AP this avo. Very good documentary. The amount of injuries he went through is nuts. Made of steel
every single jumps jockey will receive a lot of injuries - it's a guarantee when you choose it as a career.
andrew lynch, richard johnson, graeme lee, ruby walsh, barry geraghty, andrew mc.................. all riddled with injuries!
RIP JT McNamara.
Died aged 41.
Was there that Thursday he had that horrific fall at Cheltenham. Terrible news for his friends and family
Article from last year when Alastair Down visited JT and his wife
Giggingstown stud withdraw all their horses from Willie Mullins yard over fees
Shocked if that was the reason personally, O Leary sick of playing second fiddle to Rich Ricci I'd say.
Apparently Mullins put up his fees for the first time in a few years and O'Leary pays a set figure per horse in training with all his trainers, he wasn't willing to pay Mullins new fee.
Gigganstown supposedly set their own fees with their trainers, Mullins looked to raise the fee up €200 per horse Gigganstown spit the dummy out and refused and pulled plug. Mullins was no longer allowing bullying tactics as will only take a 15% hit but opens doors to other owners with stable space now.
RIP Peter Casey "Ya hoor ya”.
Irish racing going over to racing uk from at the races will be a bit shit for us over here unless it's a top meeting and RTE are showing
I’d watch a bit of Dundalk on a free night or Sunday racing if was at nothing else on ATR. No way I’d be subscribing to Racing Uk though
Another tick in the IPTV box.
Anyone going to champions day tomorrow in Leopardstown. Tickets are €30 in advance and €35 on the day. Wonder would it be worth taking a risk of getting a few freebies tomorrow at the turnstiles?
Racing suspended for 6 days in the UK due to flu.
Some money lost there.
