I missed the boat yesterday when the TV fixtures were announced and by the time I checked flights the Dublin to Liverpool early flight was gone up to 300 euro. I am flying to Manchester for the first time instead.

I saw on here before that people often share a taxi over to Liverpool - is the handiest way if it works out or is the train as handy?

Depends on how much time you have left from when you land until the game. Train is very handy and cheap (approx. £5) if you book in advance for a specific time. Takes around 1 hour from the Airport to Lime Street.

If you don't get enough to share a taxi. I would recommend pre-booking National Express ahead of the train, cheaper and quicker if the times suit.

What time do you arrive in to Manchester? There's two of us on the 06:30 Ryanair from Dublin. We'll probably get the 08:45 National Express from the airport which gets in an hour later. Works out about £5 when pre-booked. Loads of time with the kick off not being until half four.

I hadn't really thought of the bus TBH. A fiver sounds right up my street and I will have plenty of time to kill!

    Also on the 6:30AM.

looking at a flight that night leaving Manchester at 8.55 - would people think that’s very tight to get to Manchester after the final whistle?

You'd cutting close with traffic and security can be a disaster - Usually is a 22.00 flight from Manc too ?

I went for the safe option home via The Eurolines

no bother in a taxi. leave at 7 after the traffic dies down a bit and you'll be there at 8. One thing to consider is 3,000 Mancs will be doing the same but ordinarily no problem

Yeah security can be tight enough from manc. Flight to Cork to its the last one used to be a half 9 few seasons back but they’re rare enough now
