Having an iPad and an Android Tablet (work give them too me, Im not that loaded) the lack of flash is the decider for me. Whilst I prefer Apple over Google, I would have to say Android Tablet over iPad every time
Ron - the Archos 10.1 8GB on Pixmania is not bad value for the money. I don't think you can go too wrong for the money. Cheers Dzer2 for the heads up.
From a comment review on the bottom of the page: "Although the Archos doesn't come with Android Market you can download it via AppsLib app Arctools 0.45 which instantly downloads Android Market....."
Some of the real expensive ones arer 3g but if your 3g it costs 30 euro to go wifi which is a better option.
my one has 3g but I don't think I've used it at all over the last year. I don't think you can use a 3 Internet dongle in most of them unless someone has added it to a new ROM they've built. If you're looking to use one on the move you'd be better off getting one that can take a 3G SIM card.
Frank Any thoughts on this. There seems to be huge demand for this Tablet. HP’s $99 TouchPad Firesale Is Finally Back The time's come, cheapasses: HP's $99 TouchPad firesale is about to make its triumphant return. Oh my god I've waited so long for this. At 7:00 PM Eastern on December 11th, HP's eBay store is going to have the next and maybe last cache of cheap TouchPads. $99 16GB models and $150 32GB models will both be up for grabs. That's great! Here's the catch: The units are refurbished, not new—which isn't a bad thing, necessarily!—and all sales are final. But like, who's going to try to return a $99 TouchPad anyway? Since the original cheapo stampede over the first TouchPad firesale, the Kindle Fire's shown up with its $200 pricepoint, and the PlayBook dropped to that price as well—and maybe even further soon. But the TouchPad is still the only full-sized tablet to get the here-take-it-please-oh-god prices, and webOS has gotten a few upgrades while HP shuffles its feet over what to do with the mobile OS. So basically, it's still a totally awesome deal and you should get one if you can. [TechCrunch] http://gizmodo.com/5866058/hps-99-to...s-finally-back
This was discussed here or in another thread Ron. Was a HUGE rush to get one a couple of months ago (just search for it on boards - tons of threads!). I tried, but failed If you can get your hands on one of these do. Even though I'm probably getting a Transformer Prime I will try to pick one of these up too. You can put Android on it now. You just couldn't go wrong for the cash!
Cheers frank. Going to try get one on Sunday as that's when they go on sale. Is the android hard to install in it.
Honestly I'm not sure Ron. I think south on here or someone posted up a site that tells you how to do it. I done a google and found this step by step guide too: http://www.howtogeek.com/76960/how-to-install-android-on-your-hp-touchpad/
