Kinda hard to know what to really hope for here: - Stevie to be beating BR (ex captain to beat ex manager) - Rangers to be beating Celtic Obviously I wish Stevie well in his career, but it's not quite straight forward given where he's elected to go work.
Not a fan of Scottish football and if I was to support a team it would be Hibernian. The bigotry of the Glasgow clubs especially Rangers would make it difficult to support and wish any success for Stevie. I can't understand how if you have grown up with a club with the values of LFC you can really be comfortable with the Rangers gig unless you grew up around there and had some support for them.
I still can't get over Gerrard going to rangers.. mainly the club is mess from top to bottom.. they are light years behind celtiC.. their budget is shocking compared to Celtic, their squad is terrible by looks.. if they have money to spend I'd be surprised off the ball said in 25m in debt.. unless they sell crown jewels.. I wish him the best but, in Scotland maybe not. I hate Scottish football minds me too much off the shite happens in border around July..
Hi, Putting aside the old Celtic-v-Rangers issue, what have people been seeing or hearing from the actual people of Liverpool about Stevie's move ?
Haha the ones in our end on Wednesday we're far from happy about his move to 'vile club' he has let us down.. that was few ones around me
I suppose the reality of it is that Stevie's first senior managerial job is with a big big club, regardless of their current stature. I don't really follow Scottish football but I think my surroundings bred it into me to not like Rangers, even though I would think of myself as fairly indifferent to them, it still felt weird to see Stevie surrounded by Rangers apparel. Now, maybe it's like seeing an ex with a new boyfriend, but when he went to LA it didn't bother me at all. Don't get me wrong, I'm not losing sleep over his move to Rangers, but if I could pick a team I would like him to mange, Rangers wouldn't even be in the conversation. Weird one.
What did folks think of his carry on after the game yesterday. Can see why he was so excited and we do love Klopp for extravagant celebrations however if it was Neil Lennon at Ibrox, think there would be a big deal made about it. That Morelos is some head banger. good for Scottish football that there is some competition for Celtic again. The standard of the game in general was terrible
Anything that annoys Chris Sutton so much is okay in my book Thought it was a bit ott tbh, shouting into camera but it's the raw emotion of football just gets to you sometimes and don't think he'll go that far again after watching it back. Great to see he's doing well in Scotland, especially in Europe with them, long may it continue.
I can see why he done it. It has been a lot of pent up frustration for him against Celtic over the past 2 years. They were all over them in the Cup final this year and lost. There were games last season when they were the better team and still lost but on Sunday they were the better team and got the result albeit that nutter Morelos doing his best to fuck it away again . I’d say if Stevie had the chance he wouldn’t act that way again. It was all emotions. He comes across as a calm fella so it’s not his style . At least it keeps the Scottish league interesting .
Lennon done it's loads time at Ibrox in front of there fans. As in the celebration 2 years been battered by celtic. This game and final rangers outplayed them, and deserved victory in both but lost his final. But as guys said he usually is cool and collected
