There are 3 documentaries on BT Sports 2 tonight. At 1830 there's the one on Nelson Mandela and the 95 RWC.The Two Escobars is on at 2100 which is well worth a look for anyone that hasn't seen it.At 2300 there's the one on the New York Yankees.
It looks like they are on all week. They seem to be covering a good few of them. I hope the weather isn't too good so I won't feel guilty for staying in to watch them!
Watching the documentary on Nelson Mandela at the moment and it sends shivers down my spine.I never realized that because of heavy rain in Durban on the day of the semi final between South Africa and France there was a real chance that the game would be called off.The referee said to Francoise Pienaar if that was to happen then France would be awarded the victory due to having a better disciplinary record.Needless to say the game got the go ahead.
Watched both 'The House of Stienbrenner' and 'Four Days in October' last night. I know nothing about baseball but both were a good watch. 'Straight Outta LA' is the next one on the list.
Not a feature length 30 for 30. But this short is brilliant on how a shoe shop in Atlanta catered for the top American Sports stars with big feet.
Iverson is worth a watch. Its about some basketball player who was good it seems, but his career kind of petered out. There was a 30 for 30 about him as well called No Crossover.
Four Falls Of Buffalo. It's an ESPN 30/30. Story of how the Buffalo Bills lists 4 superbowls in a row. It's great having us Netflix back.
Fantastic Lies. Another 30 for 30. Rape allegation made against the Duke University Lacrosse team. Good watch but runs maybe 20 or so minutes too long.
Delighted to see this ESPN short. Nadia getting that perfect score in Montreal will always be a special sporting memory for me.
30 for 30 coming out with a beast of an OJ doc. 5 parter, that is already being talked as one of, if not the best, 30 for 30.
I haven't watched it yet but getting great reviews and sure to be a good bit of interest here. New Netflix six-part documentary series about East Mississippi Community College's football program which dropped this weekend. Suppose to be a fair brutal, no holds bared look into the world. From the blurb it sounds like it tries to emulate 'Hoop Dreams' only focusing on group of kids trying to become the future stars of the NFL.
