Mikel San Hoze has been loaned out for a season to Athletic Bilbao.

Think this is the last we'll see of him myself, if we were grooming him for a 1st team spot he'd be heading to someone in the Championship or League 1. If its off to Spain he's going its purely for putting him in the shop window for Spanish clubs next summer.

 

Dont know whether thats a good or bad thing,.

 

Had a few wobbly moments in pre season, have higher hopes for kelly myself but this loan can't be a bad thing for him if it means game time in one of the best leagues in the world.

 

Is this just as a replacement for the centre half we are buying from them this week(apparently)

 

Not going to well for him at the moment, has only got 7mins playing time this season, being linked to Wolves and Blackburn in a jan loan deal.

Liverpool youngster Mikel San Jose may be set to return from his loan spell in Spain ahead of schedule.

The 20-year-old defender agreed to join Athletic Bilbao on a season-long deal over the summer, but has grown frustrated at a lack of opportunities in his homeland.

He has been awarded just seven minutes of action this term and feels he needs to explore other avenues.

Reports suggest two Premier League clubs have expressed an interest in San Jose's services and his agent admits an agreement could be struck in January.

"His patience is being pushed and if nothing chances he will leave Bilbao in the New Year," said Jesus Medina.

"We do not understand Bilbao's persistence to strike a deal over the summer if they had no plans to play San Jose.

"This situation is damaging to his career. He is a professional and does not want to cause controversy, but he is suffering at the moment."

Speculation suggests that Blackburn and Wolves are the two English clubs keen on securing a loan deal for San Jose.

 

He is playing for Athletic Bilbao against Real Madrid now on Sky.

Bilbao are 1-0 up.

 

he looks decent enough wat im seen ere against real.. also alonso and arbelo playin verry well.

 

Played well, doubt we'll see him back though might get a few quid for a contract extension for one of our players for him.
