Pissing time. Around 3 months. A worse manager in Ole has done nothing in 3 years at a bigger club yet is still there.
He's also a victim of the lesser mentioned side of Levy always having to be the master negotiator in that they've clung desperately on to a player who has no interest in being there. A new manager coming in to deal with that is up against it from the off!
Sums up spurs. 20th choice manager. Fans have turned on levy and nuno. Kane still there and not wanting be there. Complete mess from top to bottom. I'd be all out for son
Definitely doesn't help that Kane is an entitled prick. Plenty of players better and worse have been in his position in the past and have still given their all and they haven't been the captain of the club and their country. Just sums up his character tbh.
spurs 6 points from their last 7 games, they're in the bottom 3 for that period. they won their first 3 games.
I would be surprised if he is sacked in November. It is a ruthless game alright but Levy hasn't made rushed decisions. He is cautious with his money and held onto Kane. Spurs' appointment of Mourinho was a surprise to me alright but sacking a manager after 3 months would be much worse. Spurs are not Watford.
I've never agreed with being ruthless for the sake of it, but Levy should be ruthless here. Its never going to work out,so why persist with it? He deserves more criticism than the manager,it was his mistake and doubling down on that mistake would be silly. He might double down though, his ego seems to be the basis for a lot of his mistakes and sacking Nuno now would be admitting he fucked up.
4 months in a job with a striker who doesn’t want to be there . Jesus that’s no time what so ever . Now I don’t really care about Spurs etc, but that’s still no time for a manager .
There's probably a decent chance Solksjaer survives at least until the end of the season, and in a weird way their woeful attempt at being a team that plays on the front foot might be the reason why. Turgid defensive football wouldn't have been accepted by the fans if he'd gone into the season playing like that. They'd have realised quite quickly it wasn't going to deliver the big prizes they thought they were in tbe running for,and the pressure to give the attacking players more freedom or in other cases more opportunities would have been huge. But now the bar has been lowered so much, and the humiliation we inflicted upon them will see the fans far more open to going back to the defensive model that they execute to a decent standard. They've a good chance of top 4 playing that way so as long as they get through their CL group I think he could be OK. Of course they could just as easily suffer another embarrassing defeat soon and he could end up out on his ear.
Looks like they will but don't think Utd would ever go for Conte anyway. Pity we couldn't have played them before they get Conte in.
Can't believe they are getting conte after all. The arsing around in summer. Great appointment. Glad not going to utd. But spurs fans won't like his style either.
Kane the architect of this. A good manager who only got 16 weeks playing the majority of the games with 10 men Who would want that job now
Very surprised. 10 league games played and less than 3 months of the season gone. Few handy league games coming up, they're playing Leeds, Burnley and Brentford in 3 of their next 4.
Poch should never have been sacked in first place. It was plain to see he was continously over achieving there and was gone a few months after Champions the league final. With the new stadium and all Levy thought they were bigger than they were, he fcuked up big time.
Based on Pochs sacking Levy would have sacked Klopp last year. He's not as smart as he likes to think.
The main thing I took away from that Spurs documentary was how unimpressive Daniel Levy came across. I've always thought his need to 'win' in every situation hindered Spurs, but I think a lot of their problems are down to him just not being very good.
