Exactly Colly, how many of you found one of those machines so you could train properly? How many of you even went out with the intent to win it? I expect more from Irish Kop. In all seriousness, outstanding achievement by all of you. Not something I'd ever have the mentality to do.
It's only after seeing it in this video, I now understand how fast those elite marathon runners are going! The maths just wasn't math-ing before. Absolutely incredible feats of human performance.
Christ that is some speed to be going its only when you see the video you realise how quick it is. Well done to everyone who done the marathon, serous achievement
Walked the whole thing this year, people thought I was nuts but I actually really enjoyed it. Doubt I'll ever run it again. Congrats to everyone on here who did it.

If ye enjoyed the Dublin marathon this year. Next year’s registration is open from Monday. This years entries get first preference
Thats a nice course on a good day. I reckon loads of Dublin half numbers will pop up in the weeks before.
Started running around the end of March again after having a very frustrating last few years with injuries, I'd signed up with a running programme from a local physio towards the end of last year and he wanted me to do a load of strength work in the gym before really getting into the running again. I'm about 6 weeks back running now and getting out 3 times a week and hit 10k this morning at a very easy pace. I honestly didn't know that I'd ever get back running without being in constant pain again but the strength work really seems to have made a huge difference for me. Looking forward to signing up for a few races over the summer and hopefully can stay injury free.
The Thoroughbred 10k through National Stud in mid June is a great race. Not too hilly and a good atmosphere after it
Hey sorry I missed this message. I got a plan off a local physio with a lot of things on it, Bulgarians, Leg Press, Seated and standing calf raises, Hamstring curls (across 3 sessions a week). I'd some specific prehab sort of stuff like side leg raises and side planks (hell) and other bits of mobility work to do. He'd some plyo stuff that he wants me to start on soon as I think he's happy with where I've gotten to on the weight training side of it. Heading off on holidays on Thursday and looking forward to running down by the sea for the next week, something so nice about running by the coast.
