Happy Birthday to Ronnie. Looking forward to the programme tonight. As Lional mentioned repeated at 11pm. Also on again tomorrow night at 9pm and Sunday at 9.30pm.
Absolute legend of Liverpool. Id love to hear his thoughts on where we are at the moment and what he thinks of Rodgers
Really enjoyed it as well. Emotional stuff watching him at the end walking around looking at the pictures.
Watched Bugsy Moran last night, was brilliant and showed me how much of an important role he played throughout the glory years, he kept the players, focused, hungry for more, always pushing and demanding more no matter how good a player they were and what they had won. He was just focused on what was next and just kept the winning mentality going, also interested to see how he recored down every detail about all the players,. I think hes someone who doesnt get as much attention he deserves for the massive role in Liverpools history, but what a brilliant decision for Shanks to bring him in as part of the staff as they always called it, he obviously seen the hunger he had in him as a player to have that winners mentality to bring him on board, and what a decision it proved to be by Shanks, legend is a word that gets thrown around a lot these days but Legend is defintely how you would descibe Bugsy Moran.
Finally got around to watching the tribute to 'Bugsy', great programme and a fitting tribute to one of the most loyal servant to Liverpool Football Club there has ever been.
Ronnie Moran was given the lifetime achievement award at last nights function - he was there from the start - well deserved a legend of the club http://www.liverpoolfc.com/video/latest-videos#18158
There was a prog on lfc tv recently called bugsy Moran and in it he's walking around melwood with peter mcdowall and he was looking at a photo of all the old boot room boys and he said "I've lost them all now." It was proper lump in the throat stuff. Great man, deserves to be treated like a king by the club.
Liverpool FC are set to host the launch of Reds legend Ronnie Moran's autobiography later this month - and three lucky fans can win an invite to this special occasion. 'Mr Liverpool' tells the story of the 49 years of Anfield service that saw Moran help claim 24 major honours in the roles of player, first-team coach and even caretaker manager. To celebrate the release of Bugsy's autobiography, LFC will host a launch party at the club's Liverpool One Store on February 28 - Ronnie's 83rd birthday. Former Reds captain Phil Thompson will host the event, and he will be joined by additional club legends as well as Ronnie's son Paul and the book's author Carl Clemente. To be in with a chance of being there, simply head to Twitter and quote tweet the below post from @LFCRetail with your best Moran memory.
One book I'll be getting. One chapter in his book would be more interesting than the entire Modern day footballer in his 20s latest book.
Had wondered last night with all the pictures being posted on social media, why there were no pictures of Ronnie at the book launch, it was not until I read the piece earlier written by Tony Barrett that I learned about his dementia. So sad to learn this news.
