Steven Kenny has been helped hugely by the fact no one can watch these games.
While we haven't been great there have been some lovely deliveries from Brady and we just haven't gotten on the end of anything. What happened to the diving header, seems everyone wants to go for every ball with their feet.
Was that the Oman game?? I was thinking that myself.
Yep was thinking that. International football was dying on its feet pre Covid, now it’s even harder watch with no fans. I have probably watching about a total of 180 mins of Kennys games in charge. Two of them I feel sleep. Had there been no Covid, I’d probably have W r to some of the home ones.
Not a slight on the lads in the squad tonight but I never heard off about 6 of them. Hopefully some of them turn out to the new Keane or Duffer
Some of them looked like they got 3 stars on winning streak and that got them a game for ireland , hadn’t a clue likewise who some were at all
In fairness I wouldn't class Virgin as an Irish station
If it wasn't it wouldn't be allowed show live CL/EL games.
I thought the exact same last night. Joke
I'm happy enough to give Kenny a full world cup campaign before making any judgement. It's been a bit of a perfect storm for him this year, couldn't have been worse. What didn't sit well with me was Mick not getting the chance to finish the job he was given.
Its hard to imagine him having a tougher time in terms of bad luck, and of course he deserves another campaign but I struggle to see how he makes a success of it from here. The honeymoon period has probably ended now and I don't think he can complain about that,it's gone on longer than it would have for most other managers. Part of that is down to him coming from the LOI and part of it is down to him trying to change the way we play, but I honestly don't think we have the players to play how he wants to and get results.
Thats not a defence of Trappationi or O'Neill by the way. It should be about more than just results but there's plenty of ways to play that aren't what Kennys trying to do or as submissive as O'Neill/Trappatoni were.
Probably was, terrible game anyway
Obviously I don't know exactly what's in that video and think it's a bit sad that we're going down that road for a friendly against England reserves, but all the same it's dissapointing it came out. Bad form from whoever went over Kennys head here.
Jaysus where was this lad when Delaney was fiddling while Rome burned?
Kelvin McKenzie wants Kenny sacked. Give him the job for life,or at least until Kelvin McKenzie dies....of hopefully something painful.
The cunt from the S*n? What's he got to do with anything?
Kenny should not be sacked or even considered to be sacked. But to do this in a meaningless friendly is mad. And Considering few our players are English born.
Obviously someone wants him gone.
Any word on what the video was?
