Richie Sadlier is a very articulate bloke, he's spoken so well about the FAI for a long long time now and never bent to their nonsense or questioned protestors the way Duff etc. did. There's great people in Irish football who would do an honest and open job on if things were run correctly. I'd gladly take whatever hits come from UEFA or FIFA to try and protect the long term development of football in Ireland.

Look at how FSG turned around LFC by getting things right at the top and putting the right structures in place for football to develop. Ireland is soccer mad, if the right structures are put in place we'll see players coming through, I know it for certain. Stop this nonsense of just waiting for the English dropouts.

I would agree with you but the issue is not just the FAI. The school boy leagues through out the country are run in much the same way as the FAI are, hence the amount of them that cane out in support for big John when the news was already out there.

The treasurer if the FAI was offered a new 3 year contract in February despite being 80 years of age. I know of people in prominent positions within school boy football that think he's a youngfella. The average age of those that run football must be in the 70s.

I see the FAI released a statement issuing an apology. Thank goodness for that and we can all just move on now.

That fixes everything don't you know.

The government use them the whole time rather than do anything to redress the problem

18 year old Corkman Idah scored 3 goals today on his full debut for Norwich. Add to the list with Obafemi, Parrott and Connolly and looks good for Irish football going forward with these youngsters. The only downside would be that all of them are forwards. 4-2-4 formation for Kenny may be? :)

Jayson Molumby playing really well for Millwall I believe, he's on loan from Brighton at the moment but a lot of the Millwall fans want him to stay.

Not helped but stupidly having to play out for the back all the time. Even though he lost it the defending after his clearance was brutal.
