I can not remember the figures but it did get a mention in the Echo some time back that Liverpool would have to pay 'bonuses' on top of the agreed transfer fee based on RBL winning some silverware or/and qualifying for Europe or not or which Uefa competition they might qualify for. The basis of the figure is obviously the better the team do the more valuable the player is to the selling club and the premium would increase for Liverpool as the buying club.
I am glad in a way, I dont like this new fad of wasting loads of money on players you are going to get anyway in a few months.
RB Leipzig EnglishVerified account@RBLeipzig_EN Ralf #Rangnick: "We won't allow @LFC to sign him early, even though they have shown renewed interest to bring him in during this transfer window."
I suppose it would have depended on how much extra might have been paid, £5m would have seemed reasonable, but £15m not reasonable for me. Anyway, the transfer window is open, we've cash in our pocket and a squad and first eleven that still need upgrading... We can welcome Keita come the summer.
https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo.../new-liverpool-midfielder-naby-keita-14312041 A thigh problem being reported by the Echo and also a wonderful story of how he started a 22 man brawl at the end of the first half. This lad is going to be interesting if nothing else.
That's one way to put it alright Ed If he's a tough guy, but does it the right way and doesn't just cause regular trouble on the pitch, then he'll be a great addition to our squad imho.
Indeed. Whatever people think of Roy Keane, if we had him instead of Scum in 1990's we would have won a lot more than 1 league Cup.
