I'll match any fee we get for Keita.
It's not that there's not examples of players moving in January in the last year of their contracts, but I'm pretty sure if you looked into the circumstances of those deals there's good reasons for those players agreeing to those moves. The first one that always comes to my mind is a player might be afraid of an injury that fucks up his summer payday so plays it safe by taking what's on offer in January, but let's be honest, that's not going to be the case with Keita. Another is an international tournament coming up that the player is desperate to play games in the run up to, also not an issue here. His stock may still be high in Germany but it doesn't change the fact that he'll cost himself a fortune by moving in January,so what's the motivation for him to give up that kind of money? A half a season of games that he'll probably miss loads of due to injury anyway? Not seeing it lads. This will be his last big contract,he'd be mad to leave in January on anything except a free or at best,a token fee.
Odds are he will be injured in January anyway. Can’t see anyone paying a fee him.
He will wait it out and get a huge salary next summer, a club like Newcastle could be a destination that take a chance that his talent could be worth the injury risk.
Would be astounded if the club offered him a new deal.
by far and away the most disappointing signing of Klopp era
could be wrong but atkinson was more or less hinting that klopp has had enough of him
I feel like we paid about 45million for ox in a similar situation
Think it was about 30 plus mill. He'd 1 year left with gooners.
Sorry, I know we are trying to forget about him
