Watched Manchester by the sea last night, really excellent movie. Slow moving but very raw and heartfelt, Casey Affleck is exceptional in it.

We've spent the last few nights going back 20 years for films to watch.
    End of Days
    Se7en
    Kiss the Girls
    The Bone Collector
    6 days 7 nights
All worth a watch if you havent seen them, or like us, its been years since you have.

Also finally watched The Eternals and even as a Marvel fanatic of 40 plus years I found it more bareable than totally enjoyable.

The 355 - 5 ladies from different countries/agencies having to join forces to save the world. I actually enjoyed this one more than youre usual run of the mill "oh no the world will end if we cant save it with 3 bullets and a mango" spy thrillers. Jessica Chastain and Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier) along with others you will recognise - many worse ways to spend 2 hours.

    Really enjoyed CODA.
A movie about a talented but unpopular teen who is afraid to show the world their talent, fancies a popular kid, and has to overcome obstacles to follow their dream, is usually something I avoid like the plague.
But CODA works because all that formulaic, clich├ęd crap takes a back seat and the focus is on the kids relationship with her family and their struggles with living with a disability.
Some great performances also help raise this movie above the norm.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Every genre has it's place but it's rare that I'd ever not be in the mood for one of them.

I was telling my mates it was a 10/10 film but put that line in incase someone was expecting some sort of masterpiece.
It was the perfect film for relaxing after a hard days work.

Had to look this. The minute I seen the picture I remembered seeing it before and it made me smile. The chap is nuts in it, but brilliant. Easy watch

I wouldn't say disappointing but a little underwhelming for me. I suppose it's unfair to put anything else up against Bales Dark Knight

I enjoyed the new Batman film but thought it went on for too long. A few scenes in it were not needed.
I thought Pattinson played the part well and Colm Farrell was very good as the Penguin. Paul Dano was excellent too IMO.

    Would rate it about 7/10.

Jaysis shows how opinions can differ so much. I thought batman was brutal. 3/10 and that's pushing it

    Dead Man's Shoes.
    Great movie.

'This is England' is another good one from the same director.

The new Elvis one looks good, and I wouldn't be a huge fan.

Everything Everywhere All at Once is a bit mental but I really enjoyed it.
    Boiling Point is excellent.
It was filmed in one continuous take.
Stephen Graham is very good in it.
