Couldn’t ask for much more than that. Elliot and Jones were very impressive. Thought Ox maybe could’ve offered a little bit more going forward

Yeah let them play the whole tournament now. No point playing the first team to get past Arsenal and then hoping for the winner of Crawley/Colchester so you can play the young lads again.

Plus City have an easy one and will rest some first teamers, although their team last night was strong.

Was thinking that I didn’t really care about this competition but the more I think of it I would love a day out at Wembley and to add another trophy to our cabinet.

Great for the youngsters to play along side some more experienced players tonight. Was the perfect balance in my opinion. Really enjoyed it. Same again v arsenal in Anfield I hope.

Good performance last night considering amount of changes. Glad finally see the Irish keeper and looks a very good one.
Klopp will have a dilemma when. Alisson is back. Who he plays in cup games.
Brewster hopefully gets a crack at arsenal didn't get much service.

Delighted for Kelleher had a good game all round. Looks comfortable on both feet aswell. Elliott was very good too unlucky not to score 1 if not 2 ;)

Decent performance, delighted to see Caoimhin getting a game and two really good saves to boot, Elliot looks the part, unphased by anything, a bit disappointed with Brewster, service wasn't brilliant but thought he could have done more, you would have to say at this moment, Curtis Jones looks a lot closer to the first team than Brewster, looks to be able to play anywhere.

It still took the 'Old Man' :) to show the way, Milner was MOTM for me, never ceases to amaze.

All in all good result and a good run out for several young lads, I'd keep the majority in the team for the home game v the gooners.

Future looks to be in good hands.
Elliott looks like he will be a star, Jones was excellent, Brewster didnt get a lot of service but made some excellent runs. Standards are so high in our front line that a young kid is going to suffer somewhat from the expectations we have from our forwards, but I have no doubt theres a top quality striker there.
Great to see Kelleher getting his run out, made a few nice saves.
Favorite one line of the night was from the comentator saying when he saw Caoimhin Kelleher's name on the team sheet he wasnt sure if he was the keeper of the WiFi password.

The ageless Milner proveing again that age is just a number.
Give Lovern his due, after the muck up getting bumped off the ball by the MK striker, he came back strong in the game and made several vital interceptions/last ditch tackles

There would be uproar if we mocked the name of an English man, especially on live TV.

Milner absolutely outstanding and what an example to any young player. Playing out of his favoured position he scored (lucky), missed a great chance, put in a peach of a cross with his weaker foot for the second and barked out orders all night. Definitely deserves another 2 year contract because any team would love to get him on a free transfer
