Lads I loaned out membership cards to lad on here, He was getting them for someone else who close to match said they didn't want them, Another member from Cork on here then took them from him for game which I was happy enough with. Cards now seem lost in post. I thought it was the norm to use registered post, at least myself/friends and anyone I've ever dealt with has used it. Am I wrong? Would you just put your/someone elses cards in post box ? Personally, If I knew they wouldn't go to post office and register them I wouldn't have loaned them out. How long will it take to get new cards sent out & whats the cost?
Don't know how long it takes for a new one but it costs 10 pound and you can only get 1 reissue per season.
If the person in question is any way decent they'll cover the cost of replacement cards, i know if it was me I would anyway. I've sent cards by normal post in the past so wouldn't knock them for doing that.
Never bother using registered post myself. It only takes a couple of minutes to produce a new card.As Willie says above the person who used the cards should cover the cost of replacing them. It's only fair.
I use registered post by default. Never thought otherwise tbh. Mainly though try to get someone to meet though
Happened to me last year mate, cost £10 for each card and had new cards within a week, fortunately for me the lad that lost them paid for the replacements and was happy to do so, as it should be IMO. just phone the ticket office and tell them you lost your cards and you want replacements and they'll look after you
no sign of the cork lad wanting to pay for new cards....ill be getting stung for it.....what will happen next time some other gombeen loses them? is it true only one replacement per season?
Yes definitely only 1 reissue per season. Bit early to be replacing yours unfortunately. Doesn't sound like you've any option though.
Thanks for info, its an eye opener. so could end up losing my credits if another card goes missing & can't be replaced so no attendances. The way some people made out to me its no biggie, tenner and a quick call.
http://www.liverpoolfc.com/membership/terms-conditions Section 10 in here - guess a lot of people don't know this - I only found out recently when I had a card returned to me damaged
No a fan of registered post. It's €6 I think now, id want to be sending something worth more than £10 to use it. And im never there when post arrives so beed to go to the sorting office. It's a no from me
In fairness I have used post in past and it is a risk you take I’ve had cards lost coming to me and the other way round. The person using the cards should of course cover the cost of the replacement. It is a risk you take and unfortunately sometimes things will go amiss if it’s accidental you just have to get on with it. I would give the lad in question a chance to pay up otherwise use the rating system for what it is for.
the money isn't the issue for me. its early in the season to be on second card as was pointed out. one more gobshite and i'm fecked for rest of this season & my credits for next.
I’ve been threatened by ticket office in the past id be amazed if they only issue two cards per season, if the story is good enough you will get another. I would only use registered if requested myself. If you do it 15-20 times per season it’s quite an expense two ways. Yad make some money if you put a parcel motel like locker system in place outside Anfield. I’ll trademark that someday.
From the terms & conditions - "We will not issue more than one duplicate Members Card in any one season under any circumstances. For the avoidance of doubt, if you lose your duplicate Members Card the Club will suspend your LFC Official Membership and any associated benefits (as detailed below) until the end of the relevant season, and no refund will be paid in respect of any unexpired portion of the Membership." In fairness, I wouldn't fancy putting that to the test, having lost a second card
