As good as we’ve been the last 2 years, we haven’t give these pricks a good whooping. Apart from last December we haven’t even played well against them, hopefully that will all change on a Sunday

Regardless of how well either team is doing, this is always the "match" nobody wants to lose.
    Roll on Sunday

I hope Martin Tyler is commentating with Gary Neville and it's 6-0 to us....

We're much better at football than than them.... should be a straight forward away win...

The result there last year was hard to stomach considering the difference in strength of teams

Hopefully we put that right on Sunday

Hopefully Salah finally rises to the occasion and shows us he can perform in the big games. :)

Wonder will Fergie do the team talk. Wouldn’t surprise me if Ole is on the blower to him all week.

looking at both teams, should be comfortable win, however will anything but that.

Probably the first season my living memory where it was not the first or second game I looked out for on fixture list. Was always United and Everton, this season it was City and Everton.

It's up to Klopp and the players whether the occasion becomes a leveller. Play the game and not the occasion and theres only one winner, something we failed to do in this fixture last season.

    Far from.an easy win
Quieten the crowd, frustrate them with some keep ball and pick them off with our superior attack
I,ll.take a VAR assisted win for good measure

Even if this lot were relegation fodder, this would still be the game that they would play out of their skin for, even more so than the Manchester Derby. Hopefully the lessons from this game last season have been learned. 'Mon the Pool.

I think Klopp has been guilty of respecting them too much.

I hope we go out to hammer them. We're a better team and Ole is not as tactically astute as someone like Mourinho so we shouldn't be afraid to go and play our normal game.

Should have too much fir this crowd. Even though they'll play out of their skin they'll still be shite. Would obviously take a scrappy 1-0 now but can see 3-0 to us

Sheiks have got our derby and their own derby ready to bend over with most of their own fans even wanting them to lose. The complete opposite then facing us.

The 2 x Northwest derbies and its 3 v 1. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Strangely Ole might be right when he says we are the ideal opponent for his lads at this time. No need to worry about motivation, if they don't show up for this game there will be no forgiveness from the fans. Draw or beat us and it may spring them on and give him a break. Also most strong teams are a bit tired or weakened after international break but with some of our English lads not getting game time, Mo, Shaq etc. not traveling that not likely this time.

Martial back in training. Very inconsistent but has the ability to cause problems

No doubt they'll be up for it but so will we. Matip, Mo and Alisson all back training this week so looks like Klopp can start with his best 11.
Can't think of a better opportunity to give them a good spanking at their own place but a repeat of Leicester would do just fine
