Hard to belive it’s been 10 years since we’ve graced the champions league semifinal, one great reason to enjoy every minute of both legs .Plenty of respect for Roma but not one ounce of fear .
They’ve conceded in every way game in the champions league , averaging 2 goals conceded away.
Personally think we can win both home and away games if at our best .

An atmosphere like Man City game will help massively. Nowhere beats Anfield on a European night!
Team picks itself, thankfully with people coming back from injury our bench doesn't for once
    Mignolet
    Gomez
    Moreno
    Clyne
    Klavan
    Gini
    Ings
    Solanke

So one of the above misses out. Clyne was missing altogether yesterday so most likely him if not fit

We're 1 of the few teams in Europe who gets what the competition is about when it comes to atmosphere, the crowd needs to step up to the plate on tuesday night.
Shock and awe from the ko, on and off the pitch, and we'll do this lot. ;)
If you're going sing your fcukin heart out.

Either way win lose or draw I’m going to enjoy it , I’m actually quite confident but not at the point of underestimating Roma .
Personally think they will score at Anfield as we will in Rome.

6pm. Arkles pub. Flares, smoke bombs, bangers, scarves, bog roll, voices*. *No throwing bottles! ;)

Police seemingly preparing for Tuesday night, despite the silence.

Temporary road closures around the Arkles pub to "ensure the safety of supporters, local residents, stewards and the team itself while travelling through the area".

Hopefully same idiots don’t turn up

Hopefully this will be policed by the fans themselves. Anyone doing anything out of order should get a bollocking from the fans standing alongside him nevermind the police.
Hate hearing negative press about our own fans...

Thought the WBA game would be good preparation for this game due to them scoring a huge percentage of they’re goals from set pieces , hopefully the two we conceded will be good at been more on the ball on Tuesday .
Keep the supply cut off from the wings to Dezko and we should keep them out .
There percentage of goals from set pieces isn’t as high as WBA but still 14 from about 50 goals .

I think the tie will be over by 930 Tuesday on night. I'm expecting to thrash these guys, 6-1 is my prediction.

Need to be bringing at least a two goal advantage over to Rome & keep the clean sheet, their home form this year in Europe is fantastic. Or Bobbys 6-1 would do, I'd settle for that for. These are the kinds of nights Anfield was forged from. Need performances from one & all. Team picks itself, I don't expect any surprises, Henderson Milner & Oxlade-Chamberlain in the middle.

Not worried if we go to Rome level, we can beat these guys in their own bavkyard if needed. Cannot wait for this gane, team picks itself with the only question around Gini or Ox in the middle.

Could be more or less in the bag at 8:30 if we are top of our game and aggressively press them , they look to play the ball out and on the deck ...will suit us perfectly

Ox deserves his place in there at the minute, really stepped it up when we needed it

This feels like a strange one because instead of underestimating them it feels like they're being over estimated in many quarters which could be a bad thing for the atmosphere in the stadium if things aren't going well in the first leg. 180 minutes to be played and if we need the second 90 of those minutes to get the job done there will be no need for panic.

I'm nervous about this but also fairly confident. I'd be happy with a 2 goal lead going to Rome and fully expect us to have it.

watched both Barca v Roam games and the defending was terrible from both sides .. Lovren would want to careful about pulling out of Dzeko in the box , always feel he gets away with it alot.

Dzeko the danger man. Can’t see him trying to get isolated against Lovren and away from VVD. The midfield need to be alert for the knock downs and covering runs from deep. Milner and Henderson well capable, however sure it’s strength of Ox or Gini.

I am confident going into the game, if LFC play to the ability and level so far in the knockout stages, I can’t see Roma having enough

    Agree Babbs,

Think we've also got the extra nervousness because we've been no where near a CL game of this importance for so long.

It'll be nail biting stuff, but these are the games that were historically the norm and hopefully will soon be again.

We've a very strong attacking side and as long as our lads are in form, you have to have confidence that we can score both at home and away. Fingers crossed, we'll have almost all players fit and in form for both games... if we do, then you have to give us at least evens.
