4th August according to Napoli president .
Great to hear if it is true. Great day out last year at the Bilbao game, good to see the new lads in action.
Aug bank holiday weekend n all.
Would have thought that this weekend would be when 'the high profile' friendly at Anfield would take place.
James Pearce has previously said that there would be a match at Anfeld this summer. With all the works on at the stadium the last few season there has been no Anfield friendly played since August 2014 when Liverpool played Dortmund.
I seem to remember something previously involving deLaurentis saying that he would take Ballotelli on loan off Liverpool and just pay him small wages and of course that never happened.
The matches that Liverpool will play in the US are to be announced at 3om on Tuesday. (United rumoured as one fixture.)
Good news that they are playing in the Aviva again.
Is this deffo confirmed?
I wouldn't take it as such until you can buy your tickets on the LFC and Ticketmaster websites tbh.
Booked a room that can be cancelled just in case.
Liverpool FC will face Italian side Napoli in a pre-season friendly at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday August 4.
The Reds are set to return to the venue for a second successive year after beating Athletic Club 3-1 in front of a sold-out crowd in their final warm-up match ahead of the current campaign.
Tickets for the game will go on sale to the general public at 11am BST on Friday April 27 – and can be purchased via Ticketmaster by clicking here.
Prices range from €10 for children through to €125 for a family package (which includes two adults and two children).
A pre-sale will take place from 10.30am on Thursday April 26 for LFC Members, season ticket holders, hospitality season ticket holders and official supporters’ clubs members only.
LFC ambassador Ian Rush visited the Aviva Stadium today to announce the fixture, and said: “As a club, we have tremendous support in Ireland, so it’s always a pleasure to come to Dublin and play in front of our Irish fans.
“There’s certain to be a fantastic atmosphere in the Aviva Stadium when LFC and our Italian opponents arrive in August, and we thank the Football Association of Ireland for their support in hosting the game.”
Should be a decent day out.
What’s the story with the pre sale is it 1 ticket per card?
Should be a great day
I rang up lfc there for info on the pre sale and the girl in the ticket office knew nothing about the game and didn’t even know it was on the club website
She said any info wil be on the page in next few days
Don't think you need to panic - potentially Dublin game on same day (again) and general friendly vibe. Load spares going around last year can't see why wouldn't again really.
Cos we are a much bigger animal this season and I don’t wanna say the other possible reason and jinx it but this will deffo sell out
did any FAI season ticket holders get an e-mail about pre-sale ?
Think its all done by ticketmaster like last year
Anyone know if LFC will email codes to confirm membership for presale
If its anything like last year you didnt even need a card for the sale, the codes were floating around the internet!
Codes for Supporters Clubs coming out two hours before sale this year.
