    I’d go

    Karius
    Milner, Matip, VVD, Robertson
    Can, Henderson, Chamberlain
    Salah, Firmino, Mane

    ..............Karius

    Trent , ——- Lovern , ——VVD, Robertson

    Wijnaldum Can

    ————Henderson

    Salah,.... Firmino, ..,,,Mane

Don’t think Klopp will drop Trent

Not sure Matip or Lovern , Lovern maybe as more aggressive

I’d be thinking Milner in RB after the last two games as well. Especially if Can is going to be back so we can play a midfield 3 if Can, Hendo and Oxlade Chamberlain

Trent will start at RB.Lovern to start in CD.Midfield 3 if fit will be Hendo Can Gini.I'd love to win this game by not conceding the away goal and can see City going more defensive in 1st leg as they would see themselves as overwhelming favourites for 2nd leg..going to be a special night at Anfield on Wednesday.

I'd go with this team aswell. 3-1 home win to take to 2nd leg

If Trent plays the tie will be over before the 2nd leg. Sane will rip him a new one.

Can't see Clyne starting, if Lallana wasn't injured straight away I wonder if Clyne may have got a run out sat for a few mins? It be a tough call to put Milner at right back but think it's well worth looking at. Presume Lovren will come in since Matip started the weekend and he seems to like switching them. Hope can is fit and I'd start him Henderson and ox in midfield.

Trent just needs to attack and let Sane worry about getting back and stopping Trent
Our midfielders and CBS need to cover him , let them worry about us we’re the home side and a side worth fearing

We can't ignore a weakness we have and we can't ignore the threat they pose.
I know your thinking along the lines of attack is the best form of defence but we have to be very careful when we lose possession

No chance James Milner plays right back on Wednesday night, I'd be surprised if Clyne started as well without playing any first team minutes.
Has to be Trent then, and i think he'll have a good game.
On a side note, Its funny how Karius is getting off scott free for his decision to come out and give away that penalty yesterday.
The fall guy seems to change from week to week.

I'd start the same team as yesterday except maybe Can for Gini if he is fit but not all that bothered either way.

City won't approach this game close to the likes of Palace and the Mancs so there's little point in adjusting our game based on what didn't work against them.

Honestly watching bits of City against Everton would leave you wondering how you even begin to set up against them. They're an incredible team who have great players across the park and we need to find a way to disrupt their rhythm or they'll beat us, man for man they're a better team unfortunately but Liverpool are about defying them odds. Anfield will hopefully play it's part but we need two perfect games from our players and a bit of luck to go our way too.

Any chance of 3 at the back? I'd be concerned about trent at right back in a back 4 against these.

    Nerves are gone already

I’m good with TAA starting. City have ripped almost every team to shreds this season. We just need to keep to our game plan and see how things go. I can see TAA having a field day offensively and making a major contribution.

I have in my head what I think is 9 definite starters for this. The two positions I'm not sure about(again,in my own head,I could be very wrong)is who partners VVD,and who plays in midfield with Henderson and Oxlaide Chamberlain. I'm pretty sure TAA starts. They're a great side but they're also a side that use tactics that suit us down to the ground.Looking forward to it.

Id be surprised if Wijnaldum doesn’t start, Home to a attacking side is where I think he comes into his own

Hopefully Sane try’s to track back after Trent like Zaha did in the second half v Palace and our midfielders do their jobs .

Can’t see 3 at the back we would leave 2 Cms against Silva De Bruyne and Fernandinho

I won't be one bit surprised if he does, but a fit Can or Milner instead wouldn't surprise me either. The only thing that would surprise me about the midfield is if Henderson or Chamberlain don't start.I think it's very obvious at this stage that Henderson needs to start (massive mistake to leave him out at Old Trafford imo)and Chamberlain played a huge role in us beating City at home, hes well suited to this game.
