Kelleher yet again. Some man, living the dream. Another carabao run will do his Ireland ambitions no harm aswell.
Delighted for Kelleher in the shootout. Doesn’t play loads but does an excellent job when called upon
Nice to see 90 minutes of Ramsey. He, Elliott and Doak looked a tasty little triangle on the right Kellehers save of the 3rd peno was excellent. (nothing wrong with the other two mind) Nice to listen to the commentator butchering an Irish name other than Kelleher. First he seemed to think it was hyphenated Cash-eeeeen, then he ALMOST got it but for some reason tried to make 3-4 syllables from Cashin. Thought Derbys keeper's homage to Jerzy Dudek was a nice touch by him. I know there was no VAR, but surely to Robbie the linesman (refuse to call him an assistant anythin...he wasnt assisting) after been TOLD the keeper was 3 feet off his line for the first peno, second not quite as bad but still well off....and then he goes and has a chat to the keeper about it 3 times! Dude your ONLY job is to make sure the keeper doesnt encroach.
Could've done with Milner out there tonight. He'll be one of first names on teamsheet for as long as we stay in the competition
Nunez using the Jorginho technique I see. If you are accurate with that technique into the corner, almost impossible for keeper to get to it
Working so didn't get to see it, but dissapointed I didn't get to see Ben Doaks substitute performance. Exciting talent by all accounts.
we started the first half of the season against them, so makes sense we would start the second half against them too
Yep. Good to get them out the way early doors. Kelleher Ramsay Gomez Matip Robbo Milner Jones Elliot Diaz Bobby Salah Not bad at all
Man City will probably be left with Mahrez, Haaland and a load of young, less experienced players. Edit: Man City will likely have a few players back before the league cup match of course.
