Because he still the most likely goalscorer. Taking the top scorer in the league, out of a game with still a third of it to go, when the other two strikers have been nowhere near their level this season isnt a good strategy. If we made one chance the remainder of this game id want Salah on the end of it. And even if he was shite like you claim, he still made our best chance in the first half What was shite was what Mane did with it.
Salah should not have been hooked, as said previously what has ox given? Very strange times are getting stranger with these results
If Villa and Spurs win their games in hand we are 9th. Losing to teams around us hurts us more so Chelsea big winners tonight, deserved it to. Even if you sub Salah,.what are we doing bringing on Chamberlain when chasing a game. He has proven to need games to get up to speed and has given nothing since coming back from injury. Good to see Jota back and looking lively.
I think when your confidence is so fragile you probably are a couple of percent off where you would normally be in terms of pressing, getting to the ball first and moving it quickly. The head drops a little bit. It looks like the opposition want it more but they are probably just playing better and with more confidence.
Chelsea pressed us like we would have pressed last season, with hunger and desire. We seem so slow when passing and going forward. Did we actually get a shot on target in the end?
Agreed! Just utterly depressing whatever is in the players heads at Anfield.. Were playing punch drunk stuff.. How are we not given a penalty for kante's handball ??!! It's a stonewall penalty ffs! If kante was on the line & the same thing happened is someone going to tell me you cant give it because it was too close to him' ?? Fcuk off, penalty end of,,,
We're losing too much for me to keep moaning about the ref, so I'm not going to moan about the ref even though he was wank.
That won’t be enough worryingly , to be honest I don’t see us through in to the next round already like some do.
It's entirely possible the mental fatigue is effecting Klopp as well as the players. Did Kovacic get booked for kicking the ball at Mane's head? Edit: I see there were no bookings at all.
We were shite clearly. Got worse as it went on and second half was a non event Strangely I see it turning around pretty soon. Similar to how I saw the shit coming from back in November time before things fell apart
Milner halfing a lad with 5 mins to go was my highlight unfortunately. Got them going for a few mins. It's not that the players don't care, they're just bolloxed.
Good shout for one. Hands were up. But decisions are impossible to predict these days. Like the offside. Which should be black and white....
