We only saw it once last season,Everton away. Injuries took it away from us. Apparently yesterday was only the second time Thiago started a game with Van Dijk too. It was Van Dijk and Matips 35th league game together. 88 points won in those games with only 22 goals conceded.
The hard part now is managing Matips game time and keeping him fit which is a lot easier said than done.
Would play Virgil and Gomez tomorrow, have Konate and Matip on the bench. Henderson, Thiago, Fab midfield. Hopefully this would keep Joel fit and firing for premier league games.

It was only 2 Premier League games after Chelsea that we drew against Brentford. The Milan game was sandwiched in between as the 3rd game.
