You were on the night
The modern game for ya, 4 years of decent success and after one third of a shit season, you're out.
3 wins from 13 tells it's own story, but they lost some quality players and there was no money provided to Caufield to replace that, so was always going to be a struggle.
I know he could come across as a bit of a bitter oul fecker, but I've been in his company a couple of times and he is far from that, funny man and a gent. And was one hard baxtard as a player.
Lowest finish in 4 full seasons was second, Interesting to see who they think can do better.
Interim manager being suggested for the 'foreseeable future' whatever that means.
None of the top 3 won this weekend. Huge game for Bohs now next week against Dundalk playing them twice in the space of 10 days, and Pats then in between them. Very poor against Cork on Friday, have to say Cork play the worst football I’ve ever seen, and time wasting as well is ridiculous, going down every few minutes.
My wish came through And some cracking goals also.
Come on the Bit o'red
Another wobble for Bradliola
Better than Messi
And this wasn't bad either!!
Surprised Cork ain’t after Buckley with the amount of players gone to Cork the last fed years. Ha.
Sickener on Saturday, 3 great goals in the game but we never got going, Shligeach deserved the 3 points. 2 weeks off now until UCD.
Great result for the Big o'Red away to Bohs last Friday night - hope we can keep this run going
This is a special special football team.
Half a team but twice the heart.
Danny Mandriou... sensational.
Another great win for the patched up gypos against the rovvvvvvvvvers
I'm sure it must be in response to something previous but the Bohs keeping has really had a cut off Rovers after their win last night, pretty classy stuff after winning!
Rovers fans throwing things at him all game, also in Tallaght earlier on in the season there were a few bottles thrown at him when he went to collect his bottle and towel from behind the goal.
He's perpetuated that forever with his comments so, should have kept his trap shut in my opinion. Why you feel the need to rub it in when your team wins is beyond me.
What did he say?
It's alright,I found it.
Thats' what I picked up in the papers, didn't actually see the interview
Speaking to RTÉ's Tony O'Donoghue after the game, Bohs 'keeper Talbot claimed that Shamrock Rovers 'look down' on his team - and that it drove them on to another victory.
"It's always good to beat them," he said.
"We don't have much respect for them to say the least. They look down on us, they don't think we're good players.
"Once again we've proven tonight that there's lads on our team that would walk into their team.
"We've got heart, we've got passion, something that I don't think they have. And we can play a bit as well. We're over the moon."
"There's good players in this team," he continued.
"For them to underestimate us gives the lads the extra edge to go out and perform.
"They were mouthy. Their players were mouthing at each other saying this, that, whatever. That's not a team. That's what we have here. You can't buy that. Money can't buy that."
I dont know what's gone on between the two sets of players but there does seem to be an epidemic in football these days where players and clubs first reaction is to rub their victories in someone else's face. Maybe it's the social media generation and it's one of those things where I'm a bit old school, but I always thought in general that rows that happen on the pitch should be left there. Again,I dont know if that's in response to things Rovers players have been saying in public, plus we're all human and emotions can get the better of anybody sometimes, but rants like that have a habit of biting you on the bollocks.
He was only speaking the truth, unbeaten in the last 8 derbies against them, won 7 drawn 1. When Rovers are under pressure they either bottle it or hit self destruct, Bohs stand up to pressure and fight their way through it as a team.
