Reminds me of the 7 minute abs ad in Napolean Dynamite
Earlier in the week, I posted in the group with info on the Boss night. I thought I was doing a decent thing, giving people a heads up on an event which would interest Liverpool fans based in Ireland.
I edited the post for it to include the price and a link to tickets. A couple of people we’re asking about the price.
I then posted again midweek as a reminder.
In the meantime, I had received a message saying that my post had been removed because by including the price after the original post, I was trying to con group admins. I was then banned from commenting or posting for a week.
They’re charging people to join a ticket group where there’s no chance whatsoever of getting tickets. They also regularly have people flogging screenings of games in Murray’s, with prices of pints etc. But when I post a link to a paid event which is run independently by a group of 4-5 people, it’s flagged ?
You know what, I’m glad they removed the post. Some of the comments in that group having read through it, would make cringe.
The stuff that people post on that page is cringeworthy. Same few people "Admins" looking for likes etc. It's a breathing ground for ejits.
I called them out on it at the time, and they just banned me after a little debate. Just looking for cash and tickets thats all they are about.
People are actually paying €6 to join a Faceboo group k? I no people are desperate for tickets but bloody hell
Yea, €6 for the chance to get a ticket. Madness.
The thing I was worried about when boss announced they were coming over again was it being hijacked by the people in that group. Hopefully most missed out
After you’ve served the week long ban mate you neee to come straight back in with both barrels calling them a bunch of pr1cks, that will get you the lifetime ban.Maybe even go a bit stronger, go out in a blaze of glory.Be worth it.
That was why we pushed the pre sale so much Mate. We wanted to make sure that decent lads like everybody on here got sorted and didn’t end up in the general sale and miss out.
An absolute blessing in disguise that my post was removed. After properly reading through the group, I am relieved that it was ! Some absolute dangers commenting in there
Have a week now to plan it out
They have turned off the comments section on that post about cancelling the page for tickets. Does anyina know how many members they had?
Although in fairness it is less than paying the club membership fee of €30 for the ‘chance’ to get a ticket these days....
I commented under that post asking how many members there were but no reply, either way I’d imagine they made a tidy profit as from the post it was mostly one way traffic of people looking for tickets rather than offering and I’d say plenty of the 32k or so members of the FB Page signed up thinking they’d get a ticket no problem
If anyone knows anyone that works in revenue get them to look into if a tax return on the income received was done
snitches get stitches ;-)
