Anyone could be turned off by boring football however I can see why those with a passing interest would tune in yesterday and say it was boring and switch off at half time. Few lads at work were asking me how I sat through the game. I can barely watch any friendly in football (LFC or Ireland) however when it's competitive I'll be watch any game.

Team having more a go could definitely get similar results, however not sure why there is so much negativity for a team that is unbeaten in the group, conceded four goals and best position I can remember in qualifying for a World Cup at this stage. Could all go pear shaped yet.

Anyway I'll leave it at that. I am not mad on Martin O'Neill and despise Roy Keane so not sure why I am defending their tactics so much :D

Great support from the 'singing section' in the lower south stand, the Austrian fans at the other end deserve credit for their support and creating a bit of atmosphere, otherwise i thought support was a bit lacking on the day.

Has c'mom you boys in green for 90mins been worn out?

Myself, i'll be in the landsdowne road end lower from now on.

Now that you mentioned the support. I'll put this in here again. That clap is an absolute embarrassment.

100% agree. Thought the atmosphere was good however copying Iceland chant because we played them recently is not cool.

We were doing the Iceland thing since the Oman/Georgia game. The Welsh gave us some slagging over it too. It's pathetic.

Same with playing music on the tannoy to try get fans to sing along.

Was at two of Iceland's Euro games - great fun then. But I refuse to participate with it here.

Just like Mexican waves - fuck off.

Big concern of mine is that we end up 2nd, but with so many draws we are the worst placed 2nd team....

Just don't mess up vs Georgia now.

Just to say south stand/singing section have always done the 'clap' way before it became an Icelandic phenomenon. Theres a lad on the drum and he has always started it. However it used to be a lot longer and spaced out and no one else in the ground would do it and we also never done the big 'huuuuuu' noise after a clap.

The one thing i will say about us, above all else is that we are a tough nut to crack.
Not too easy on the eye but we can be a tough team to beat.
