Can't believe you're accusing the Dublin hurlers of being lazy and having a bad attitude. That's harsh pal.
Cavan were 14/1 I believe yesterday. The crushing loss of defeat for the Jackeens might be consoled by Christmas being paid for should anyone fancy it.
Thomas Niblock (@thomasniblock) Tweeted: Just finished cutting an Ulster-final piece for @bbcnewsline - if ever a shot captured joy & pain- this is up there! Beautifully captured @bbcchampionship https://t.co/aGMf8Mvj34 Brilliantly captured this.
Fantastic footballer. Had been worried about Donegal when they announced provincial semi finals. Serious performance by Cavan yesterday given they spent 20 mins over the 70 down a man with the 2 black cards. Thoroughly deserved win.
That lad from Westmeath was on Claire Byrne earlier, Charlie Redmond texted in to ask why haven't the Dublin hurlers won an all Ireland if it's all down to money, his response was the usual, they've won the league, they've won Leinster. Didn't give any reason for why they haven't won an all Ireland in the same period that the footballers have dominated.
Come on ta fcuk the money was put into the footballers not the hurlers. Same in Kilkenny all resources into hurling the footballers can get a burger and chip off the chip van if they are hungry.
Based on what I see with my own eyes on a weekend I think you may come to change that way of thinking. In 10/15 years Dublin will be cleaning up with the stick too.
Genuine question, how many people would be involved in the backroom teams at county level? And how many of those would be voluntary? Would there be into the hand payments like at club level? Again genuine question and not just Dublin focused. I'm honestly interested.
I was reading earlier that Antrim won 16 senior Ulster titles in 16 years from 2002 to 2017, and not a single fcuk was given.
A rough guesstimate i remember being told a couple years back Dublins back room team count was around twenty plus. From kit man to Jason Sherlock. I know you're wary of not making this Dublin focused so hopefully another can post a more accurate answer but no need to come in peace mate with the highlighting of genuine on your question. I might be sensitive but we all own this thread
Its off topic but it's not if that makes sense. Worth a watch if anyone has time to grab a brew. I worked for Pat's company for over 10 years till it morphed into another and always found him very grounded, driven and fair. I'd never have made a Dublin footballer but I kind of guessed what they were in for when he was appointed after Pillar. There's as much to take from it from a business perspective as there is a sporting one so the irony wont be lost i'm sure.
Which might explain 2012. Decent podcast called Blue is the colour had Ger Brennan on last week and he basically said that 2011 was so big it took too long to get over both physically and motivational wise. Before they knew it Mayo had blown them out of the water in 30 mins. Fuck knows what Gavin did. That man has ice in his veins.
That's exactly what cluxton was getting at in the quote from 2011 I posted yesterday. Listening is as important in communication as speaking and he was long enough around the panel to see that certain lads weren't listening. The lads that weren't listening were bombed out, the lads that weren't willing to work hard were bombed out.
