I think Tierney had his mind made up on stopping the play when he seen konate down but he whistled late and by that stage forest touched the ball. It's consistent with what he done earlier with yates. They got what they deserved with their diving and time wasting in 2nd half. That yates is a piece of work, how he went the whole game with no bookings, arm across VVD's face, hand to the face of clark after a nutmeg and the high boot at the end. There were other fouls too.
Was it Yates who came flying through like Cantona at the end? When it was mentioned there was a VAR check I thought it was for that. I didn’t get to see a decent replay of it though, did he make contact with Konate?
Thought Wembley wouldnt be topped but safe to say Saturday did. Thought we were poor overall created very little but as soon as Nunez came on the chances came. Its absolutely vital we keep him fit for the rest of the season. Such a livewire, a defenders nightmare. As for the contention around the dropped ball, very same thing happened when Elliot vollyed it off Yates(?) head and they were given the ball back but that doesnt seem to suit the agenda in the media. CHO is to blame for trying to dribble the ball out of the box when all he had to do was volley it away and whistle would be blown.
He didn't. Kelleher and konate collided. VAR check was for the pulling by gomes. Looked like a trip too but couldn't give that after not giving the rugby tackle on danns.
A high foot where there's contact or not, is considered dangerous play, if there's no contact, a free is still awarded, but it'll be indirect as opposed to direct if contact was made.
