Not fired this up for a long long time but after seeing Sib’s tweet on twitter, this will pass the time for the next few days.
I’m addicted to it. Buy it every year. Try play it every night after the kids go to bed for a hour or so to unwind . Favourite part is moving club and creating a new team each time.
UNWIND? I'd say my doctor would put me on heart medication the moment I started playing it again, used to drive me demented. My PC never "crashed" as many times in it's existence as me trying to play that game.
Ahh yeah it can drive you mad, but when you get a good team or scout that excellent kid, it’s worth it. I’m Liverpool at the moment and I’ve been with them over 10 years and they are building a new stadium in my name .
There is a app called Steam that you can you use. The most recent versions for desktop are a bit too complex for me. The FM Mobile one for iPad is more like the old Championship Manager from back in the day so have been playing it now and again. No sign of Taribo West on a free though!
so how would it work if myself and my brother both got FM & played a season? Could we both pick our teams and make transfers and stuff and just play the game normally but he is the manager of one team and I another?
Exactly that. So say one is Liverpool and one is Arsenal, you would make transfers etc and compete against each other etc. There is a massive online community for it, so even if you didn’t want to play against him you could join other leagues etc.
Bought 22 at Christmas when isolating and am addicted to it. Have a save going with Galway United and its great fun. Much improved on when I played it last circa 2017
I play it nearly every day when the kids go to bed. It helps me unwind and switch off from the world. I love it. Every year without fail I buy it. Started unemployed this year and ended up in the second division in Turkey and then Greece and have just turned down the Athletico Madrid job for the Granada job instead .
Always buy and lose interest in this. I try to be too perfect, take ages to set up staff and tactics and after a few bad results give up
Galway United promoted from First Div and now top of the Premier Division. like @TrueRed92 i lose interest in it quick most years but this year seems to be different.
I think if you stay away from the big teams it will hold your attention more. That’s just what I’ve found. Also there is some cool challenges out there to do with other teams as well. These are easily found online .
Won the league last two years with Galway. Beat Besiktas 5-1 over two legs to get into the Europa League. Drew Atalanta, CSKA and Ludogarets finished 3rd and now starting the UEFA Conference League soon. Nearly all my players were signed on free transfers hoping to sell a few and upgrade the squad
Hey lads, looking to buy a new console after many years without. Probably go with xbox as its cheaper and will only plsy a few games anyway, Grand theft auto and football manager if its worth it. So just wondering is the new football manager a worthwhile purchase? TiA
