. Spoiler Alert - Endings of Movies & TV Shows in this thread Hi, I was watching Full Metal Jacket on tv last night and it got me thinking about some of the endings of films or tv shows I've really enjoyed, so I thought I'd get a thread started on it to see what endings you guys have also really enjoyed also.
Probably appropriate to get the ball rolling with the one I just mentioned.... I got a good laugh out of the lads heading off at the end of a load of killing, battles etc. signing the old Mickey Mouse song ...
The Sopranos - one of the most entertaining TV shows I've ever watched .... While the end wasn't quite what I'd anticipated, the music played it's part in me really enjoying it (once again)....
While not a classic film by any stretch "the Grey" with Liam Neeson in the final scene we see Neeson squaring up to the Alpha wolf strapping little drinks bottles to his hands to fight it (after it and its pack has wiped out everyone else)...they charge each other and.....roll credits. What?!?!? That always bugged the brains out of me and it wasnt till a few weeks back I was reading an article about credit scenes in Marvel films that I learned theres another bloody scene 3-4 minutes later. Only problem with that is that the film was so meeh, the cinema's had emptied before anyone saw it.
Last to be the alternative endings of Wayne's World It's old man withers From the haunted amusement arcade was awesome
I prefer the not so happy endings in movies: The Wicker Man Invasion of the Body Snatchers (Donald Sutherland version) Requiem for a Dream Midnight Cowboy The Mist And everyone loves a good twist: The Sixth Sense Saw Fight Club Favourite last line in a movie would be Some Like it Hot or Silence of the Lambs The Italian Job was memorable. I don't have many favourites but One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, The Usual Suspect and Psycho spring to mind.
Now that is a fantastic reminder of a great line to a fabulous movie. Going to go with two endings. First one remarkable for the fact that it was a real bridge and a real train, no CGI back then, 2nd one for the dialogue between the two actors when both knew the ending to come.
