Haha, thought that was gone a long time.Summer project used to go there every year, always turned into carnage.I'd say they've had to make a lot of changes since those days to meet modern health and safety standards.Im actually going to Google it now, dying to know what it looks like.

Yea not much has changed, they do have loads of free to use BBQ's all over, we should have brought supply's maybe next time. The kids enjoyed it so much the Mrs is talking about getting a season ticket next summer.

Was there a few years ago for a school tour (not mine of course!). Kids loved it but it reminded me of gardening so that's the only downer. :)

A day out at howth harbour is great fun.
The sealions are always in the harbour, and you can see the fishermen bringing in there catch. (A must) theres boats rides over to irelands eye, you can get off at the island and do what you want, have a picnic etc or just sail around the island.
Make sure you prebook a table if your having dinner(best fish ever) as theres a 2-3 wait for any restaurant.

If your feeling active id recommend a trip up the dublin mountains, amazing walks up there, and fantasic place to have a picnic. The views of dublin are great. (Bring binoculars).

Yeah it's not bad was there last year, the maze is good and there's a second wooden maze where ya can have a race to collect clicks, there's a bit of crazy golf too and a few animals and all.

Just on places to go, the twins had their school tour to Rathbeggan lakes, it's near Dunshaughlin and it got rave reviews from them, here's their Facebook https://www.facebook.com/rathbegganlakes/ Also done Dun na Ri forest park in Kingscourt a couple of weeks back, it's good for getting them out to tire out, but the walks aren't overly buggy friendly. Slieve Gullion in South Armagh is good too, there's a trail around it based on fairies and giants and all it's very good.

I'd recommend people take a look at the below website that covers FREE events in Dublin. There is also an app available and the list is updated Saturday morning for the week ahead

It's a great resource for all year round but especially the longer brighter days

On a whim we went out to the Battle of the Boyne visitor centre just outside Drogheda today, it's pretty good, there's a huge walled garden and they'd garden games and a puppet show for the kids on, there's loads of walks in the grounds and on certain days they do free tours of the battlefield etc, not sure if there was a cost to go into the house but the grounds and the tours do be free the website is http://www.battleoftheboyne.ie/

Just looking at Clara Lara here, @Dub13 does the admission include all the stuff inside or do they look more off you for certain things once you get in?

There is a charge for some things like go carts, going on the big slide and renting a boat out. But when paying in you can pay an extra tenner each for the kids and they get a yellow wristband and they dont have to pay on anything. Its well worth the extra tenner, just get it for the kids no need for you or the mrs.
