Yes you would have to take one before you go. Randox are based in the airport so you could go earlier the day you are flying and have one done.

If for example i book the test for 12pm on the monday and the flight arrives after 12pm on the weds then its outside the 48hrs, i've heard the queues are big there and the 12.40 test might be cutting it a bit fine with it being outside security etc. All a mess.
I can't figure out how they are going to check all the test results for every passenger? Sure no one even looks for the Passenger Locator Form which was meant to be mandatory too.
Is the 48hrs valid from the time you take the test or the time you get the results and is the 48hr limit from the time your outbound flight is at or the time you arrive in dublin??
They'll definitely look at them leaving Ireland and entering Italy. For Porto there was loads at the gate who got fucked off in Liverpool Airport because they didn't have the correct tests etc.
