    Apologies if there is already a thread.

    Signed up for the broadband and home phone package as much as it pained me to sign up to these but financially just made sense given BT sports came free. The broadband quality is slightly worse than Vodafone who I moved from but nothing too bad.

    Issue is the phone. Nowt working at all. Is this a quick fix by changing out the cordless phone or do I have to spend another 30 minutes chatting to a moron from customer service who knows nothing about technical issues.

    Any advice appreciated if anyone has experienced the same

    @mushypea if you moved from vodafone it may take a few extra days for landline to complete the switch but if you want to send me the landline number i can see if its active fully, not much else we can do unfortunately in store if its a tech issue, thanks

    Anyone ever have any trouble with these? Just got my bill and it's nearly double. Being charged for excess usage. Used just as much as previous months.

    You should have got a text message when near the limit of your usage.

    Nope I never got it. Also I signed up to unlimited broadband and was told today that it is 1000GB limit so its actually not unlimited. We use internet for our televison (Now TV, Netflix, Youtube) but didnt go over it before now and considering there is only 2 people living in the apartment and I am hardly there myself it doesnt seem right.

    My bill has also been increaed by 6 euro without any notice.

    Does anyone know my consumer rights in this case?

    You would have 30 days to leave that contract from the date of notification. The other part doesn't sound possible, 1000gb is shed load.

    Im going to get on it over the next few days. I dont know how we went over the limit. Im hardly ever there and there is only one other person there and they go to college. It doesnt seem right

    I am not sure if the notification when you are getting close to your limit is law (I think it may well be) but I always seem to get it from Eir.

    Due in upgrade in December off them, anyone ever went in and got one early ? If so did it cost much ?

    If you threaten to leave after contract I'd say you'll get it sooner. But probably have to ring them

    Trying to switch broadband and landline from eir to Vodafone have a UAN number from my bill but Vodafone say it's not the right one there is another one belonging to the broadband called a ptsn need to get it from eir but trying to get through to eir customer service is impossible, anyone ever heard of this number. When I rang to give notice of my intention to switch they asked me to hold to switch me to the loyalty dept. and I immediately got got cut off, rang back and was given a 30 min wait time90 mins later I gave up and sent them a letter. Really feel like telling them all to f off at this stage and going without but kids would freak with no wifi
