Was not aware of this story. Paul Machin speaks very well.

Usually would tune into some of their videos espically after a defeat to listen to some of the muppets they have on for.a laugh. Heard about a video they did when the rag and di not go near any of they content post the Spurs game. Was shocked as after the Arsenal game at Anfield, their lads had Don't Buy The Sun stickers on etc

I watch the Redmen TV occasionally and they seem a decent bunch of genuine supporters. The Arsenal lads have become celebrities and gone to their head a bit.

Fair play to him for going on and giving the apology and if it makes Arsenal fans aware of the campaign and a few stop buying it, then all the better

Maybe someone with more knowledge of the subject could explain why football fans in general never got behind the campaign? It was Liverpool, it was nearly Spurs but realistically it could have been any of 6 or 7 clubs or cities smeared that day.

The ease football fans just breeze over the fact a newspaper they contribute their hard earned money too tried to destroy a club, a city and hundreds of families is astounding. Its like a totally separate thing to them when it should disgust them regardless of tribal rivalries.

An argument I've seen put forward Bob is that plenty of newspapers have been involved in disgusting behaviour and still are and Liverpool fans aren't calling for a boycott on them. The Daily Mail being a perfect example of a newspaper that's probably as disgusting and I sometimes click on their links,I probably shouldn't but I'm sure me doing that is offensive to a hell of a lot of people whose misery has been caused or compounded by a hateful rag littered with scumbag writers.Id love it if nobody bought the S#n and i think its great when other clubs fans are on board with the boycott but at the same time it would probably be hypocritical of me to judge non Liverpool supporters for reading it.

There is a really good history show on The Right Hook on Newstalk.

This weeks one focused on 'How Great Journalism Brought Justice with Hillsborough'.

    Well worth a listen here

I know great journalism and the s*n shouldnt be on the same sentence but I thought it was probably best to put this link on this thread .
