Gini played in back 3 away to Brighton few years back if memory serves me right. Could see him filling in no problem next to VVD if necessary
A very decent player, probably the right time for him to move on. On far too big a salary for a 4th choice center back. Some serious money being taken off the books this year with himself, lallana, clyne and shaqiri all going.
Great player who always did his best, was called upon at many critical times by the club and always got stuck in. He's had a very profitable few years with a world cup final and a champions league and league medal to show for it.
