A chance to really drive home how dominant Liverpool have been this season. Should be a great atmosphere.
Big talking point will be around Trent playing. Think he will go strongest possible without Trent

A chance to show them what is required to be champions.

Strongest team available (who want to play for the club).

    Should be a party atmosphere

Arsenal desperately unlucky. They were by far the better team which proves beyond doubt they are the best team in the league.
Add that to the fact they were the best team in the CL, it means they were obviously also the best team in both domestic cups and therefore should have won the quadruple.

Seriously, it was such a pity Robbos last minute goal was ruled out.
The boo boys were embarrassing but at least they were outnumbered.

Glad we didn't need to win that one, Taylor with his usual outstanding PGMOL performance. Merino should never have been on the pitch to score the equaliser. As for Thomas Partey.

Had a charity shield feel to it. Weird 10 minutes with Trent before sense won out. Booing when he came on wouldn't be for me but I could understand it, the continuing of it was just daft.

In celebration mode and the dickheads booing manage to put a bit of a dampner on it. I've always taught my kids that it doesn't matter what other people do, we maintain our standards, because its not about anybody else,it's about us. And that came into my head today. Its not about Trent, its about our standards, and booing anybody wearing a Liverpool shirt, falls below our standards. We're better that that.

Most of the Kop Booed him. Think it affected the team and a misjudgement by Arne, his number was booed when names were called out. Should have left him on the bench.

So my take on Trent…Yeah I wouldn’t be for booing but it’s hard to know what way to communicate our feelings after his decision. He’s a Liverpool fan, born and bread scouser…things don’t come bigger than winning leagues and other trophies with Liverpool, add to that the potential to do it as captain in the future. He has realized every other Liverpool fans dream, he’s living it every day and it’s almost incomprehensible why he would want to leave that all behind especially for that shower, white kit and all. I just can’t get my head around it…I’m like, ‘ You absolute idiot, you’ve got it all, please don’t throw it all away and the chance to live every Reds dream’.

Slot has a few tough decisions coming up especially for the palace game

Nah,Im not having that mate. Slot has just won us the league and was trying to win a football match. He shouldn't have to run his subs past the Kop.

Should been out of sight in first half. Not arsed performance or score line. To be honest Trent shouldn't have anything to do with squad once announced he leaving. Let's be honest social media alot got to do with that. Everyone is entitled to do what they want.

Bit annoyed we won't break 90 but I'm a greedy fooker like that.

You can't fake it I suppose. As much as normal intensity and standards are called for, it's hard to keep that focus and level all things considered.

Booing Trent while he is playing in a match we want to win is counterproductive and this distraction brought the risk of us losing the game - stupid in my opinion and wasn't going to achieve anything - I am sure Trent is already well aware that a lot of our fans are not happy with his decision to leave.

I could never boo a player wearing our shirt, and trying to win the game.

Widely regarded that Liverpool fans / match goers are the most knowledgeable fans about. Possibly still the truth but booing your own player while pulling on your shirt and still representing your club is a fucking disgrace, was disgusted by it yesterday. A few scuffles at the back of the kop after he'd come on. I could sort of understand the Stevie Gerrard is our captain chant that went up, that sends a message to all, but booing him was pitiful from a good majority of the crowd where I was.

You can feel whatever way you want about his decision but that yesterday was a disgrace.

Cant remember what McManamans reception was like when he announced with half a season to go that he was off!

I too thought the booing was unacceptable.
    It's not the Liverpool way.

We didn't boo Kloop when he announced his intention to leave.
We gave him a fabulous send off and showed our appreciation to all he won for us.

Think Trent is a bit unfortunate in that he is caught up in the ‘No one tells us what to think’. I know Arne was trying to win the game and Trent on the pitch would usually be a positive but his head can’t have been right and he was poor for this second goal. Granted Bradley was very slack for their first goal and Trent would have got pelters for that effort.

People got to make their point yesterday that they are not happy with him and let it be at that. It’s the first time in 35 years there will be a Trophy Presentation on the pitch at Anfield and don’t need this side show to be the narrative on that day.

On McManaman, some of the arguments are that he hadn't fulfilled his potential at Liverpool and was never likely to win a League Or European Cup as it was a complete rebuild. Also he probably trebled his wages as LFC were miles behind Madrid on and off the pitch. Nowadays LFC are almost on par wage wise for top players and playing them every second season in Champions League. I honestly don’t think Trent would be getting as much heat if Arne was in rebuild situation and it was clear no major trophies were on the horizon. Also today’s society is much different, social media inflames this and although he said he was surprised by the reaction yesterday, Carragher himself inflamed it a few times with sound bites.

I was exactly the same, other than how many points we can get it was meaningless. Obviously a bit annoying to drop two points when we were two nil up at home. Weird situation, 1 point from six against Chelsea and Arsenal and it doesn't matter.
