We got Bayern happy with that
Thought it was going to be Madrid
We can certainly take them.
We are the team that none of the seeds wanted.
Happy with that because could have been worse.
I think it'll be a tougher fixture than people seem to be making out now cause form of both teams could be completely different by the time the games are played. In general though got to be happy cause we can beat anyone.
If we get through the tie making quarters after being in a final will already be an achievement.
Home leg - 19th Feb.
Away leg - 13th March.
True still a very tough game , seem to be struggling a bit in the league but I haven’t seen much of them this season so far
Is that for sure? I seem to be seeing the week of the 4th March everywhere.
Yes tweeted by the official page...
Balls. Was 30 seconds from booking a flight to Munich, cheers for the heads up!
Beat them handy in the Audi cup semi final last year, should do them again.
That was before our complete capitulation in the final though, some are still reeling from that loss!
The truckmeister will be very happy with that draw.
I would assume because Munich is a great city to visit.
Great draw, smash them at home
Muller missing too as he was red carded against Ajax. Is he a starter these days?
Getting on but still starting most games
That was some tackle. Alot of needle in the final game vs Ajax.
Tough draw but expected at this stage. German sides always hard to beat
Barcelona Coach Ernesto Valverde
"We are pleased with the Round of 16 draw. We wanted to avoid a rival like Liverpool, the current runners-up in Europe."
Bayern Coach Niko Kovac
‘We can all look forward to such a great game. It’s the toughest draw we could’ve been given. Liverpool got to the final last year, they’re top of the Premier League and one of the favourites for the Champions League,’
Bayern keeper Neuer:
“They can counter quickly and they're dangerous in front of goal, but they're also vulnerable, as we've seen, and they'll be up against a good Bayern attack."
Tough but doable draw. This Klopp team are setup for some strange reason to be better equipped having home leg 1st. No Virgil in 1st Leg so we need our defenders Matip & Lovern sharp, as game might come too soon for Gomez depending on how recovery progresses.
Is it a 1 game ban or 3 game ban? It was a bad tackle, so would be 3 in the PL.
Gomez is supposed to be coming back 6 weeks after his injury, and is said to have made good progress so far. Hopefully he'll be back in February.
