I had the Setanta package last year. I tried to cancel on a couple of occasions only to get better deals off them as they said I'd be better off taking up a better deal because I'd have to pay a cancellation charge. I eventually just instructed my bank to stop them taking payment from my account.

I am going to get the BT Sport package back but will the fact I cancelled them from taking payment from my account work against me?

Anyone up north can get this if they have some BT Broadband packages btw. I hadda take out a new 12 month subscription even though already a customer, (took lower one though since had the 76mb/s package but could only get like 22mb/s :/ so went 38mb/s save a few £)

Just got a call from Setanta sports, as i used to be a customer with them. They offered me the BT package for €12.99 for the first two months and then €19.99 after wards. There would also be no re-connection charge.

I asked would it be a 12 month contract with them and they said no it could be cancelled any time. They have 6 liverpool games they said.

She said the offer is only for tonight.

Think i might go for it.

snapping now with this as they arent keeping ESPN America or ESPN classic as part of the pack and the channels will stop broadcasting. Pain in the arse that is especially with the college football starting soon

Ron there's also an option where if you pay for the year up front you get two months free. Basically pay for 10 months up front rather than 12 monthly payments. Pricey all the same.

I'll be getting rid of the movie channels to help subsidise this. I reckon that should cover half the cost.

Wonder will it be on Sky Player for the Xbox.

What happens if you currently have ESPN but not Setanta on UPC?

I got it with sky for 12.99 for the first two months, and no re-connection fee. And then it goes up to 19.99. You get Setanta Ireland, Premier Sports, BT Sports, BT Sports 1 And ESPN and they come in HD too.

Anyone on UPC confirm that they still have Setanta IRL available for free??

I imagine it is so it's just pricing to be confirmed today.

Was it the €19.99 pack you signed up for? I'm fairly tempted myself, on the one hand I'm already giving Sky €34 a month so it'd be €54 in total! On the other hand sure it's only another €20, 4 less pints a month should be manageable.
