I’d like to see Salah offside again And it looked like there was a handball just before wellbeck received the ball Var not see or check the second one ?
I'm fcuking done with var PERIOD Just cancel it! Is the ref officiating or VAR?! NOT clear & obvious ffs! Am I the only lunatic in the asylum> is ANY official matching their poxy lines with the position of the ball??????! The ball was 12inches plus off Nicos foot when they drew the line to conveniently have Salah minutely offside?! Ali is muck on penos too..
Felt we just about deserved a win there so disappointed with the draw in the end. Forward unit didn't work as well when Salah went off and overall we didn't create enough. We seriously need to be getting a few back from injury soon. Great to see Henderson back.
Its really to hard to score a goal, Danny Welbeck has scored 47 in his career, he's 30. Thats the context in which to consider how easy they are handed out penalties. Its like getting your hole in a knocking shop, its a lot easier when it's on a fucking plate.
Pre VAR, two of those stand aren’t given even though technically correct. Salah is level and that one on Robbo is never given.
Gary am I TOTALLY missing something here!? Hands up if I am, but IMO The ball was in flight when they drew the lines for offside! And it's not even looked at or been mentioned!? Everyone is looking at the line & NOT the ball position in that split second!
On Salah its a pure guess whether its given offside or not. Linesmen are leaving their flags down now in situations where they would have previously put it up. It's a coin flip as to whether the linesman flags for that or not in times gone by. But it was offside. That peno is never given and it shouldn't have been given even with VAR. I'm at the stage now where I'd rather VAR went. That will mean the bent refs who made it seem necessary to many will have won. I naively thought it would make it next to impossible for refs to cheat but they've just found new ways of cheating and they know there's no accountability. It baffles me that people get more annoyed about correct offside decisions than they do bent refs, but with the rest of it I understand why people would rather not have it. It didn't have to be like this, but it is so all things considered I was wrong to want it.
Its got to the point where I honestly dont care anymore if VAR is allegedly getting all these marginal calls right or wrong. What its definitely doing is taking the enjoyment out of the game. There was an argument put forward at the beginning of this horsehit that we as fans would now get to celebrate twice when our team scores - do we fcuk. You dont celebrate when the ball goes in because the commentator plays his safety net and says - "oh wait, there might be an offside there" - without having a baldy if there is or not, but hes got a good shot of VAR finding someones pubes blowing offside in the wind, and then you get days like today where 2 out of 3 goals are disallowed. I can deal with the Mane one - just, but as was already said - sure as hell looked like the ball was left Bobbys foot when they drew their line on Mo (what was with that strop btw?) Ive heard more of the aforementioned horseshit about frame rates etc - I watch a lot of Discovery - in particular I love the Air Jaws series. A guy in a wetsuit is taking pictures of White sharks with a camera with framerates of 7-50 frames per second. If he can take a camera like that out on a frickin boat to take shots of fish - why the hell cant VAR/Sky or whoever get the proper frame for their decisions? I hate VAR. I disliked it to begin with, but its developed into a full blown hatred Gas too when the "fouled player" and the on commentery ref (although he is a bit of a dope) both reckon its not a pen. At this point I want to get this VAR bar, stick the corner flag on it and use it as an emergency swabbing device on the fcuker that brought this abomination into the game
