Coutinho on a different level today. They couldn't get near him. Our 3rd goal sums Liverpool up. Important to win at stoke and today after the late equaliser against Chelsea. Hopefully get a run of 7/8 wins on the bounce now.
Good all round performance. The unusual back line defended well and the attackers us usual did brilliantly. Would like to see Robertson get a run in the team and prove his worth.
Managed game nicely at 1-3 , nicec to see . Was worried about Trent at right back but he made agreat block to stop a certain goal
Klopp has huge balls. He makes these changes and decisions knowing he's going to take a lot of flack if it doesn't work out that a lot of other managers would avoid.A back 3 of Can,Lovren and fuckin Wijnaldum, with a kid at RWB and a lad making his first start since September at LWB The internet would of exploded if we lost that game today and there would of been a thousand articles/blogs/podcasts/pundits calling him clueless or arrogant. "Why did Klopp think he could go to a solid home side like Brighton, and get away with that line up?This is the PL,it was disrespectful". Up their bollocks!!!
Maybe you could say Forced into 3 at the back today , but I’ve been asking for it at home v park the bus sides Hope it’s not a once off. Also thought we managed the game nicely at 1-3, Plenty of positives today
I didn't see the line up and missed the first two minutes so it took me a few minutes to realise the back three was Lovern, Can and Gini. They done very well considering. The peno was harsh, the second and third goals were super from a counter attacking point of view. Cracking result in a game that could've been tricky given how deep and compact Brighton started.
I'd say far from forced into a back 3 Rocco. With only 1 senior CB fit pushing Can in there in a back 4 was the most obvious decision. I think it was a defensive decision rather than an attacking one.Henderson was still dropping into his usual positions to get the ball(I thought he was excellent)and I've said it before but when teams park the bus,our players generally end up doing more or less the same things no matter what the base formation. What it did do was give a very good base for counter attacking and Can stepping in was a nice bonus.
A real strong powerful performance by redmen today, hopefully we can strengthen our defence in January's transfer window then lets see the goodtimes coming back at LFC.
Agree for the most part but listening to Gini post game the manger was painted into a corner due to injury and sickness! Having said that all credit goes to klopp for negotiating a very tricky match with limited resources
Was that the brilliant team mourihno beat 1-0 at home with his best team? He talks some shite at the best of times but 5-1 is a great result all things considered
Every goal was brilliant, even the OG for the skill leading up to it.That Can goal was one of my favourite goals of the season so far.I loved the big fuck off nature of it,he had no right to score it.
It's just brilliant when you realise what he has done. It must be a very strange feeling for the Brighton defenders knowing they can't recover from the fact that they have jumped.
