Drimnagh Take Away is the best value, the quickest service, and the cheapest I've been in. In and out in no more than 3 minutes, no matter what the order. The amount of places I've been to where it takes 10 whole minutes to do a basic single is unbelievable.
Used to love that place 10 years ago, but its gone too expensive now and food went. I think it was the first chipper in Dublin to charge £2 for a bag of chips too.
How has nobody mentioned Beshoff's in Howth or Clontarf? Top notch fish. Not sure if it's still there but Sorrento's up Arbour Hill used to be a top spot
Aw, Antonio's and Fish bar are quite good. Antonio's is the best. There's a certain 1 on Faussaugh Ave that I wouldn't send my worst enemy into!
Discovered Del Rio's Cafe in Marlborough Street over the past month or so. It's a 30-seat cafe with a chipper added on. Only a daytime place, but they do a lovely egg and chips for less than a fiver. Macari's in Clondalkin is similiar-ish. They do 2 egg and chips for the same price, except the service is crap. Was in for a lunch there a couple of weeks ago, unfriendly snappy staff with no drinks available, only water, which had to be paid for of course.
zaytoon is amazing....really is a great kebab!!! the bread is lovely!!!! and you see everything being made fresh!!
