What are looking at here? Is his season over or could be do a Harry Kewell?
Let's hope he does a Harry Kewell
Jürgen Klopp has provided an update on the injury suffered by Adam Lallana on Saturday.
The No.20 was forced off the pitch just five minutes after being introduced as a second-half substitute during the win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
“Thank God, that’s not as bad as we thought – a number of weeks,” the manager told Liverpoolfc.com.
“There is a little hope, of course, that we can maybe use him again this season but we have to wait; it is absolutely not the time to bring any rush into the situation.
“It is not the Adam Lallana season so far. It makes the season so far even more special when you think that we have played the season without him. He will be back for pre-season, of course.”
This lad needs to be moved on in the summer...He's another sturrige/kewell...just plain injury prone, which unfortunately happens to some players & unfortunately we seem to have had more than our fair share of them !
We've plenty to attend to in the transfer market again this summer, so I'd not have him on the top of my list by any means.
Long term, obviously we need to upgrade, but he's been great for us on regular occasion so deserves a bit of support from us too, and with the midfield needing some general improvements, I think I'd be happy to still have him in the squad next season, once we've dealt with a few of the other issues
Would be nice if we could get him onto to pitch soon to relieve some of the pressure.
Back in the squad for tomorrow night.
Nice one. A nice option to have off the bench even if he will be rusty.
Jesus that's some welcomed news, badly needed with the injury situation
He was on social media a few weeks back in South Africa and he was doing some work with the ball. I was a bit shocked he was at that stage then because it seemed like it was season well and thoroughly over at Palace.
Good news as numbers low in midfield.
Jürgen Klopp has explained why Adam Lallana was included in the travelling Liverpool squad for Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final, second-leg tie with AS Roma.
The playmaker, who has been out of action since sustaining a hamstring injury against Crystal Palace on March 31, has resumed training with his teammates.
Lallana will continue to work alongside his colleagues during the sessions in Italy, though it is too soon for him to be considered for selection.
Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com: “Adam Lallana is here in the training squad, but not available for the game. He’s in the training squad and that’s very nice.
“It shows how close he is.
“Unfortunately, the season is not too long anymore, but we’re really happy about having him with us.”
Thought he was sharp and added creativity and excellent in packed spaces when he came on
Won’t start v Madrid but can see him playing at some stage
Great to see him look so sharp as he often takes a while to find rhythm after injury . Very important to have him to call on now given the injuries we have
If his injury problems are behind him he'll be great to have back in the squad for next season. When a team is doing well it's easy to forget what certain players bring to the table but he was excellent last season and can play in midfield as well as either side of the front 3,great asset.
Yup, agree with that.
Great to see him back on the pitch, even if his return to fitness creates a bit of a dilemma for Klopp in two weeks time.
Better for us as he has been out most of the season, so at least he will get a full pre season and fingers crossed he is raring to go in August .
He’s on standby though, I’m going to predict he gets in. Weird looking midfield, Henderson and dier are the only conventional midfielders. Delph is there but he’s played lb all season.
