Confirmation by De Zerbi that Milner, Pedro, Enciso and Gilmour are all out of todays game. That's in addition to March and Mitoma being out injured as well. That’s a big loss to them
Brighton last 8 games against us. They one 3, drew 4 and lost 1. Our last win against them was 2 years ago in March 2022. Please God a win but can never relax against Brighton
We know from history this ref is a prick. We need to make sure 2nd half he doesn't have the chance to screw us. Would have taken 1-1 attacking the kop 2nd half after the start we had. Getting killed down the right side. Got to hope Salah finds his shooting boots 2nd half. Diaz really grown into the game. Need Nunez to get more involved now
I can't take another 9 of them. Deserved the win. Probably should have been more comfortable. Diaz was brilliant. He'll be so important on this run in. McAllister is world class. Really makes us tick
Braindead stuff from them from 85 on but we've one way and it's the same as it was when the big man arrived in 2015 so not gonna change with 2 months to go. Its why we love him and the team. Plan B is to keep doing Plan A. Never been dull that's for sure.
Thought Konate would've started and definitely would've brought him on 2nd half. He makes us so solid back there especially when our defence is without Ali, Trent and Robbo already.
When we won the league by about 50 points in 2020, the question was asked in here a few times. Would you rather win the league on the final day or win it comfortably with 7 games to spare? I can now safely say the latter. I don't think I can take 9 more games of this. That last 10 mins felt like an hour
Some of decision making on counter attacks in last two games has been brutal. It’s like players are overthinking. Despite a few tough moments early, Bradley was unreal going forward. He is almost more attacking than TAA, he could have had 3 assists. Alexis was brilliant, esp after a very questionable yellow card. Saw Lallana and Ferguson coming on and was worried and Lallana did have a good chance
It was a great victory and an enjoyable game, although it could have been more comfortable in my opinion. It always seemed like a win was on the cards. Brighton played well from the back. On a different note, the Annie upper is lovely. There is plenty of space in the seats and square bars for drink with lots of staff and food available. There wasn't much queuing, except perhaps for a trip to the toilet!
21/22 aged me about 20 years, I was absolutely burnt out on football by the time it finally ended. Every one of those last 10-15 games were cup finals, I didn't think I'd want to do it again so soon but here we fucking go
