Good shouts, would add The Shining, Audition, Evil Dead for mixing laughs and craziness for some good scares with a tiny budget.

Yeah, Evil Dead and The Shining are definitely two of the best.
I'd consider myself a fan of Asian cinema but embarrassingly I still haven't watched Audition yet.

Worth a watch, suitably twisted :D

Have you seen A Tale of Two Sisters, Korean movie? Also a good one.

    Yes. Really enjoyed it.
Same director did a very good crime/action movie called A Bittersweet Life.
He also did an excellent crime/thriller called I Saw the Devil which is often labelled as a horror due to its graphic violence.
It's really good but it's dark, disturbing and not one for xmas afternoon with the kids.

Marcel the Shell with Shoes on.
    Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio.
    Decision to Leave.
    Triangle of Sadness.
    The Fablemans.
The Worst Person in the World.
    The Menu.
    The Whale.
    Tar.
All Quiet on the Western Front.
    Glass Onion.

Probably a bit late to the party , but watched the banshees of Inisherin last night on Disney . I really enjoyed it. That the three main actors Colin Farrell, Gleason and Barry Keoghan were excellent. It’s the first film in a while where both herself and me have enjoyed .

Put on Banshees last night and fell alseep. Might have put it on too late however it was quite boring for first 30 minutes anyway. Will give it an another go.

The wife absolutely hated it. I can't wait to watch it again, seems to be quite divisive.

we had the same in our house
My missed fell asleep, I loved it

slow start and then you realise it’s all about the characters.
Acting is fantastic and deserves the praise for them all, including the female lead

    Yeah, Sisu was decent.
You need to suspend your disbelief and just enjoy the movie for what it is: ultra violent, action packed, slightly tongue in cheek, slightly camp, and very impressive for the budget.

Went to see Asteroid City in cinema.
One of the best casts every assembled for possibly the worst film I have ever seen on big screen.
