I'm actually amazed to hear him say that he wants to stay here until the end of his career. He obviously loves the club and wants to be here so FSG will get this sorted. I don't think Newcastle complicate matters for us because Mo would never go somewhere that trophies aren't likely in the next few years but their wage inflation could we'll have knock on effects.
He's not stupid anyway. Publicly saying he wants to end his career with us puts even more pressure on the club to get the deal done, and get closer to his demands. I think he should score a hat trick on Sunday as a follow up,really turn up the heat on the club.
If fsg let the best player in the world leave the club after he’s just told the world he wants to stay forever then they’ll need to pack there bags fairly soon after.
I’d say say the main sticking point may be the length of the contract rather than the amount. I’m not sure the club would be willing to give him more than a 3 year contract.
Going by Joyce, negotiations at stalment as want more than 400k..best not doing this crap. Longer this goes on be more difficult for agreement. He is getting better
Wouldnt be a bit surprised if the owners dont want to break wage structure & want to cash in & replace him with someone like Raphina..I sincerely hope they have the kop on to come to an agreement with Mo... Surely they & the squad realize that breaking the wage structure for Mo would be a no brainer & a one off for a special player. How much money is enough for players, I mean sure they deserve a piece of the pie, but most of them have & will earn enough money for several lifetimes..
You can tell by Klopp calling him the best player in the world and better than our other players that he wants the wage structure broken for Mo. For Mo himself he's playing in a team that gets the best out of him. Stay and he's in the mix for Golden boot, Premier league, champions league and now even Ballon Dor over the next few years. Leaving for another Klopp might get him more money but it's a risk for his career
It's got to the stage where Mo signing a new contract would be more exciting news to me than us signing Mbappe.
heard a great quote the other day, sent it to the young lad yesterday morning and said "mo Salah is hearing some thunder at the mo." then he only goes and scores a hat trick at the swamp. "for me, the most talented people tend to not know what they're doing but are open to when they hear the thunder crackle. they managed to catch the lightning the moment it struck."
I remember making this post. I have to say it's changed for myself now and he is loved as much as Torres and Suarez were. I'd say it's similar across the entire fanbase but looking forward to hearing from others.
