I thought Jones played very well of what I seen of it but Sheffield are a very poor side though they remained competitive in it for large parts of it.

Played well, could have scored a few more but 3 points was the most important thing. Bit of luck as well tonight for a change. In the lead up to the first goal Mane tries to play a pass that wasn't on and it bounced back to him,then TAA's blocked shot rebounds back to him. Then there's the OG. But we earned that luck. Also it becomes clearer and clearer every week that every team in the league dives more than us. I'm not complaining about those teams,I'm complaining about us and the muppets that have us down as one of the worst for it.
Incredible how winning a game of football masks over the problems in a football team. Sheffield are one of the worst teams I've ever seen at that level but that's not my problem. I would kill to see that partnership on Thursday with Fabinho in front of them. I fully expect fabinho in for Phillips. In saying thay Phillips is the 2nd best centre half fit when fabinho is fit. Hopefully the midfield bodies let's robbo have a rest. Thats encouraging. Let's back it up on Thursday.
We created some decent stuff but we still make some awful decisions with our final ball. Anyways a win is a win and you'll take it everyday of the week. Trent has been playing well lately. Hopefully one or two others form starts to pick up soon also. If we can get our shit together and few first teamers back the fixture list after Thursday is ok in theory.
Does Curtis Jones have a stammer? Listening to his interview,seems like he does but he handles it very well. Another sign of the confidence the lad has to stand in front of a camera and speak.
Nah he sounds like a fella that wants to say x but he's been trained to say y and his brain is having an internal battle. He's a fine baller either way.
Another good sign today was Andy Robertson created what should have been a goalscoring chance. He's been awful in the final third for weeks and is still the last player you want a chance to fall to, but that was a brilliant ball for Salah.
