I am surprised it took them so long. Another think I am surprised they have not gone after is people sharing accounts.

Here you go all. Below is my updated billing for Netflix. Basically €4.90 a month for the premium service. TL is Turkey currency.

Splitting it with my sister due to the 4 devices which works out at less than €30 a year.

There are a number of steps required before using a VPN.

I'll write up a post later with the steps required to get it going.

You only need a VPN when restarting your membership. You don't need it after that for normal viewing

    Testing the VPN before Cancelling:
    1. Install the Hola VPN Chrome Extension plugin
    2. Start up Hola VPN and set the location to Turkey
    3. Go into google and search for Netflix Turkey
    4. Click on the Netflix Turkey link (https://www.netflix.com/tr-en/)
    5. You should see in the "How Much Does it Cost" the Turkish TL price at the bottom of the netflix site
    The sign-up Process:
    1. Sign up for a Curve Card (They are free and can be signed up to quickly using their app. Sign-up process very similar to Revolut) as they always work. Others have tried different bank cards with varying levels of success
    2. Create a Turkish currency account on your Revolut
    3. Link your Revolut card to your new Curve Card
    4. Change your payment method on your Netflix account to your Curve Card
    5. Make sure the payment method change verification works. They normally try to take less then a euro
    6. Also make sure you have your mobile phone number added and verified too
    7. Finally cancel your Netflix subscription
    8. Then wait until your subscription stops working. You will have to wait until the end of your payment month
    9. Then wait one more day
    10. Move money into your Turkish Revolut account
    11. Start up Hola VPN and set the location to Turkey
    12. Go into google and search for Netflix Turkey
    13. Log in using your current Netflix account and just hit the restart membership button once you have verified your charge is the Turkish currency
    14. That's it - no need for a VPN to view the content - back to normal viewing for a fraction of the price

Here's an alternative process for it too.

Step 1: Buy a Turkish Netflix card from here (https://www.g2a.com/netflix-gift-card-100-tl-turkey-i10000006307013)
Step 2: Connect to a VPN with location "Turkey"
Step 3: Sign up to Netflix
Step 4: Click pay with Giftcard
    Step 5: Disconnect VPN
Step 6: Enjoy Netflix for €4.90 a month

Repeat steps 1, 2, 4 & 5 when your giftcard balance runs out. (you could just buy enough giftcards to cover the whole year at the start either)

Never used Netflix, is it possible to sign up to Turkish one without having used Irish one.

You don't have to have had an account before if you're going the gift card route I posted above. You can skip the phone number for recovery if you like, but they'll let you add an Irish phone number anyway.

Watched “Behind her eyes “ with herself. Wasn’t a bad show but it’s a slow burner and you need to stick with it till the end. It’s a head fucker really.

How to sell drugs online (fast) quirky german comedy about a teenager becoming a drug dealer on the dark web.
I'm not sure how I started watching it but once I started, I couldn't stop!

The Informer is very good. It’s a 6 part piece and it’s about a police informant in the UK. Well worth a watch .

Started that Sophie show last night about the Murder in Cork in the 90’s about Ian or Eoin Bailey as he likes to be called. It’s only a 3 part series so you Would binge it in one night. I’ve one left to watch and it’s a good watch so far. Would definitely recommend it.

Reading about this. There is another similar docuseries on Sky called Murder at the cottage. It’s 25 years now. Sky One is more on Baileys Side and Netflix is her family is where way I picked it up.

Will watch both as listened to that West Cork pod a few years and ago and been following the developments since.
