Too many injuries and winning the title during Covid fucked our chances of consolidating when we were on top like most can benefit from.
We don't know who is toblame for the 2nd goal. If Alisson called and Kabak ignored it,then its on Kabak. If Aliseon didn't call, then it's on him. In a few more weeks Kabaks mind will probably be conditioned to expect Alisson to be there in that type of situation. Kabak was bad for the third goal. It's kind of like there's more to playing for this team than simply "not forgetting how to defend" and Klopp knows what he's doing by trying to ease him and Davies into a team struggling badly, even if some would be happy to fuck them both in straight attention deep end making their chances of being a success at the club harder. Klopp doesn't have the luxury of making decisions based on the type of tantrums we're seeing from our version of Arsenal fan TV.
Sweet J A S U S I'm fit to burst with anger after that Story of the season so far, dominating but mostly toothless up front, nothing coming from midfield for obvious reasons & getting royally fcuked over by officials Doesn' excuse the capitulation but that ref was a pure cnut all day, frees against us for nothing, yellows against us for nothing. The free barnes got that led to the goal was a disgrace, he literally launched into thiago & trent, to even consider it penalty, fcuk me. And then to say the goal wasn't an offside J A S U S ! Before Ali's brainfart Mane pushed over by Evans- no fcuking free
First 70 minutes in last two league games have been very good against decent opposition. Played brilliantly at Spurs and West Ham. This is not a bad side, it’s a side that is making lamentable mistakes that are very hard to recover from. Thiago doesn’t make that stupid tackle, LFC probably win that game. Alisson doesn’t kick two in own net last week probably get a draw. Burnley and Brighton probably deserved their win but again easily could have been draws. Fine margins last season went LFC way, there was the drive and determination last season and managed to get the team over the line in a lot of close games. This season it’s went insanely the opposite direction. I’d rather just fast forward to the end of the season scrapping 4th and get big Virg and Gomez back for start of next season. Even if got to the CL final by some miracle, it would be anti climax with no fans, no proper celebrations.
Another bad day at the office. I think the most frustrating thing is how easily we seem to fold once the come under pressure. How the ref didn't give us a free for a blatant push before the second goal is beyond me. Pretty frustrating how often certain players loose the ball. I'd hate to see the stats for Bobby, trent and mo this season. We win together we loose together YNWA
I think the 2nd one is on Kabak but Klopp was right to stick on Alisson. He can take it and has credit in the bank, a shaky start from Kabak will finish him.
I'd agree defo Kabak. He's try to clear a ball coming over his shoulder but Alison is running onto the ball. You would Hooe that Ali was screaming it was his ball
I disagree. When two of them collide trying to receive a long distance ball, both had time to think and stop. Ali is the only one who can fully see the ball and attack it, so he has to come straight at it. Kabak is running backwards and looking at the ball backwa over his shoulder. Anyway, hindsight is a great thing. I wouldn't have done any better myself.
Yep,I know analysis is a massive industry so just accepting the most obvious explanation isn't going to happen in the media but I honestly don't think what's happened to us needs much analysing. And if we don't shit our pants and start ripping up Klopps playback,we'll come out the other side. His methods didn't stop being the right methods overnight, the way the club is run didn't stop being the right way and these players didn't stop being the right players. Circumstances have snowballed to a point where its having a big impact on results, and its tough to take but (and this is going to sound cliched) but if everybody sticks together and keeps perspective, there's no reason why we can't be competing for the title again next season.
In a normal week I still wouldn't agree with you but I could see the logic. This week? No chance imo Klopp pins that on Alisson if he didn't believe it.
we need top 4.i ho estly fear loosing players without it and if that happens I can't see our owners spending to bring in instant solutions
I disagree. When two of them collide trying to receive a long distance ball, both had time to think and stop. Ali is the only one who can fully see the ball and attack it, so he has to come straight at it. Kabak is running backwards and looking at the ball backwa over his shoulder. The fact that Alisson can see the whole picture while Kabak is having to assess the ball and the opposition player while running backwards, impeding his ability to see where Alisson is, is exactly why its Alissons fault, unless of course he called for it. We'll know soon enough whether he called for it or not because in an empty stadium that audio will easily be available, and pundits will be looking for it.
It's fairly straightforward, if Alisson called then it's Kabak's fault. Didn't look like he was screaming the place down to me but who knows Thought we played pretty well, kick in the stones for the confidence. Better than the shite served up against Southampton and Brighton for me, I at least got involved in the match from a fan point of view. The rest of the house didn't see it that way but they'll forgive me
Klopp said in interview he didnt hear allison shout that it was his ball, so its on him in that case plus to be fair there could've been sunshine in his eyes ...
To stop the rot I think we need to review a lot of what gives us our identity. We go 1 up and you'd like to think game management comes into play but still it's stick to the system of going after them. Get the next one. I fuckin love that, it's our identity and we've been hugely successful thanks to it but at what point do you reassess it for the good of results. We're hemorrhaging points now and we're going to end up in a dog fight with team very short on confidence. Take the lead and protect it. Get smart. Get shit housing. Get changing formations and don't go leaving CB's and keepers who are absolutely shot to shit exposed like we constantly do. Don't go handing red carpets to opposition like Thiago constantly does. All needs reviewing given the circumstances.
It’s been a mad year in so many ways, just keep improving and keep trying but yes massive improvement needed. Unless we get out of this run then Chelsea big favs for 4th, did I read somewhere that it could cost us £180 million if we miss out?? YNWA
