It remains to be seen if it goes ahead or we get a bye. I was all for playing this team kelleher, Neco , Phillips, Williams, Millie. Thiago , ox ,Jones, taki, origi ,shaq but if they go with the under 23 team I want to go full strength and smash them 7-0. is it just me ? Probably

If a team can’t field 14 players, they can request a postponement, and FA can decide on case by case basis Villa already two games back in the league, so that would be worse for them, than playing U18s
Well if any team deserves some luck in Cup games it's us with the number of Premier league teams Klopp has been forced to play in his time with us. Also after the 5-0 and 7-2 results I have no sympathy for Villa.
I was all for sending our kids but now I wouldn't mind some revenge for the 5-0. They were celebrating each goal like it was the world cup final. Hammer them good and proper.
No matter what team they were putting out,I thought we should go a bit stronger than in previous years. Southampton to Man U is nearly two weeks and do we want everybody having that kind of break between games? Plus at what point do we have a go at this trophy? For years I've been all for writing this tournament off because CL qualification was vital if we were building to win the league,and then obviously winning the league was the be all and end all, but we've won it now. The league is still the most important thing but that will always be the case and there will always be the risk of players getting injured, are we just going to sack off this competition forever? I'm not saying go full strength, some players will be more at risk than others but I wouldn't mind seeing a mixed team for this one.
The last thing I want is a game to be pushed back. Plenty of other teams around us having games pushed back could suit us in the business end of the season I'd like a few of the lads getting a run to get fitness and game time. Revenge is one thing, but progressing in a cup is always a good thing IMO Origi, Shak, Miniamino, Kelleher need game time. I'd be nervous about centre back, so maybe playing either Williams or Philips instead of both, would be better option
Hopefully the game goes ahead, I've no interest in retribution or vengeance against Villa, leave that kind of petty nonsense to teams who spend their lives celebrating winning a match, a win that puts us through with no injuries is my dream result.
Villa going same route as Derby then, u23/u18's. Will be interesting see what team puts out now. I hope it's strong, pull players at 60 mins
Ah I don't know,there could be room for a bit of good old fashioned revenge. It shouldn't interfere with the important things you speak of and I'm sure that's all Klopp will be thinking about. But I'd take a bit of extra pleasure in giving them a hiding,while at the same time not setting myself up for feeling dissapointed,I'd take what you describe if it was offered to me now.
